I was approached about a loan from, of all things, four decades ago, and they were insisting that I cough up some cash for it! Can you believe it?

Just got a message that read: "Lloyds Bank, payment is overdue on your account ending 0676. Please ensure you make the payment or ring us at 08081450363. Cheers." I decided to call Lloyds to clarify the situation and when I explained it to them, they asked if the account was mine. I replied in the negative, and they suggested it could be a mix-up. Then, rather suddenly, the call was cut off without any further words from them. They didn’t even bother to reply to my initial text. Quite odd, isn't it?

It's a dodgy number; best to steer clear and not return any calls from it.

I received a rather unexpected letter from Lloyds Bank expressing their gratitude for a payment of £1,472.45 made on the 19th of March and informing me that my account has been shut down. The peculiar thing is, I’ve never had an account with Lloyds, and I'm baffled as to how this payment was attributed to me!
