I think this is a legit call from Lloyds/HBOS. I got loads of calls from this number and when I finally took the time to do the security check, I was happy to see that I qualified to have my mortgage arrears consolidated.

I've been receiving some rather suspicious calls that keep probing for all sorts of personal information-full names, account numbers, sort codes, expiry dates, and even my address. Strangely enough, the same number claims to represent Lloyds, and then the next call comes from Halifax, followed closely by TSB, and now I hear from the fraud squad? It all seems a bit too coincidental, if you ask me!

I got calls on both my mobile and home phone from someone claiming to be Halifax about a personal banking issue. They wanted me to verify my date of birth and postcode but didn’t follow the usual security checks at all. When I asked what the call was about, the person said they couldn’t tell me unless I gave them my details first. I also asked if it was due to a security problem with my account or something else, but again, they just insisted on my info. Luckily, I managed to get to my local branch in time and they checked all my accounts - everything was fine. The bank said their fraud team has been dealing with loads of these types of calls recently. Pretty sure it was a scam pretending to be Halifax or Lloyds.

From what I gather, folks seem to receive calls on both their mobiles and landlines a couple of times daily. It’s often best to just overlook them altogether - either don't pick up or simply hang up immediately.

A few days ago I missed a call and got a voicemail from someone claiming to be Lloyds Bank, talking about a business transaction. I knew straight off it was a scam and was secretly hoping they'd ring back. Sure enough, today I got two calls within a couple minutes - one on the landline and another on my mobile. First up, the guy on the line had an Asian accent and said his name was Dan. Me: "Hello?" Caller: "Hi, this is Lloyds Bank. Can I speak with Mr Rich XXXXX?" Me: "Who’s this?" Caller: "Dan." Me: "Alright, this is Mr Rich XXXXX, how can I help?" Dan: "Can I confirm a few details before we proceed to ensure I’m speaking with the right person?" Me: "Go ahead, Dan." Dan: "Your postcode, please?" Me: "Would you fancy sucking me off?" Dan: "Sorry, the postcode please." Me: "Did you catch that the first time? I’ll say it slower for you. Would you suck me off, promise no mess?" Dan: "I don’t understand." Me: "I want to fuck you in the mouth." Phone cuts off. Honestly, cheeky bastard trying to pinch my info without even the courtesy to blow me first. Dan seriously needs to put some effort in or maybe find a job better suited to his skills. I was a bit gutted Dan hung up so quick - I was just warming up and wanted to carry on. Hopefully, he calls back, seemed like a nice bloke. No sooner had I settled back in to watch season 4 episode 13 of 24 (yeah, I’m behind) my phone rang again. At least it was the mobile, no need to move. Me: "Hello?" Caller: "Hi, Lloyds Bank here. Can I speak to Mr Rich XXXXX?" Me thinking, Dan must have passed the message along. This time a woman with an Asian accent answered - maybe she had some intense tactics from captivity or something. Me: "Hold on, I’ll get him. Who’s calling?" Caller: "Lloyds Bank." Me: "You just said that, surely you have a name?" Caller: "Sarah." (Who calls an Asian woman Sarah?) Me: "One sec." I called my own name and took over the chat in my poshest voice for no reason. Me: "Hello, how can I assist?" Sarah: "May I get your details before proceeding?" Me: "Only if you provide me some info first." Sarah: "Your postcode please." Me: "Sure, but you have to spill yours first, no cheating." Sarah: "Can I have your postcode?" Me: "Alright, I’ll start. Fancy me ploughing your arse with my cock?" Sarah: "Sorry, what was that?" Me: "I want to play in your forbidden hole." Sarah: "Could you repeat that please, sir?" Me: "Yeah, want to bum you with my massive cock." Phone went dead again. Classic - caller saying they’re from Lloyds.

just had a call from this number, first time ive heard from it. it was a woman with an asian accent wanting to talk about something to do with my lloyds account. she refused to give more details unless i confirmed my birthdate and postcode. i said no and told her to send me stuff by post instead. called lloyds myself later and they said no lloyds number begins with 0808 and there’s nothing wrong with my account. i’d say block this number straight away.

I keep getting calls like 3 or 4 times daily from someone pretending to be Lloyds Bank, saying they need to talk about a personal matter. When I rang Lloyds up, they had a recorded message on hold saying they'd never call you out of the blue. Then these scammers sent me a letter which looked kinda fake but tried to seem official, with the same number, claiming I was behind on my American Express and needed to give my debit card info right away. Since I don’t even have an AMEX, I just tossed it straight in the bin.

I've been getting calls on both my mobile and home phone at least two times daily. Whenever I'm home and I ignore the mobile, the landline follows up straight away. They’re claiming to represent my mortgage provider, with folks named Michael and Sue reaching out. They don’t take a blind bit of notice when I inform them I’ll be reporting them to the authorities if they persist. Interestingly, their accents aren’t even Indian.

Was struggling to catch his name and after a few tries he went with sierra alpha mike, so I’m guessing it’s sam? Claimed to be ringing from RBS.Halifax about my account and asked if it was sam-bs or halifax-tbs. Then he said he needed to ask security questions first. Asked for my d.o.b but I told him I never share personal info over the phone. He said he understood and told me to call RBS on their free 0808 number. I asked why I would do that, especially as I quit RBS back in 2010! Total scam, think the police in Yorkshire should crack down on these lot.

Claiming to be from Halifax; the person on the line has an Asian accent and their pronunciation is unclear. They call repeatedly, sometimes you get a robotic message saying they’ll call back or asking you to ring them. It’s a scam trying to get your personal info. Don’t pick up or reply. They might also say they’re from Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, or Birmingham Midshires. Sometimes they add fake reviews like ‘Who called! search engines say this number is legit and official’ - don’t believe that. Most comments about this number are bad, so best to stay well clear.

Can’t believe how many times I’ve been getting calls from 0808 145 0360 this week - I swear it’s been about six times, at different hours each day. Yesterday I checked my voicemail and the message was creepy, they actually used my name and talked about some ‘business matter’, telling me to call back during work hours. Even though I blocked the number, it still came through again today! - caller ID: 0808 145 0360

They won't stop ringing me asking for someone who ain't even at this address. We've put our number on the "do not call" list cause of privacy and health reasons but they still hassle us. Next time I'll just answer with something like "I've completed it, but there's blood everywhere" or maybe ask them when they last talked to the person they're after and how close they are!

Got a ring from this number at around 8 in the morning yesterday. The person said they were from Halifax and wanted some of my personal details for “security verification”. When I asked what the call was about, they just kept saying they couldn’t proceed without confirming info first. I told them it felt off and really not on to call so early, then they just ended the call. After that, I rang Halifax’s customer support on their official UK helpline to report the odd call. The agent, who was really friendly and helpful, mentioned it might be a third party doing a survey on Halifax’s behalf. I made it clear I was annoyed about how abruptly the call ended, and they promised to flag the number so it wouldn’t ring me again. However, this morning at 8:05 I got another call from 0808 145 0360. I told them straight up I didn’t want to be contacted again and hung up on them first this time. Right after, I rang Halifax again and the rep kindly asked me to leave the matter with them while they looked into it. That’s how I found this site and read all the similar reports. It’s pretty clear to me this is some kind of scam. I’ve now blocked the number and hope Halifax can help stop these calls for everyone. I’ll be letting them know about this thread when they get back to me.

I got a call on my phone from this 0808 145 0360 number claiming to be Lloyds bank. Didn't feel right, so I said no to any security questions. Then, not long after, my home phone buzzed with the same number popping up. Seems dodgy to me, especially since folks have mentioned this number before but pretending to be Halifax instead. Definitely looks like one of those scam calls.

I've been receiving these calls claiming to be from British Gas, insisting that I owe them money. The thing is, I don’t even have an account with them! The chap on the other end, who goes by 'John', sounds more like he's from India than anywhere near the UK. Honestly, it's quite the farce. I’ve had enough of these pests and have finally started screening my calls so the ringing doesn’t bother me. Yet, I still seem to get about six of these calls each day!

Since the beginning of the week, I’ve been getting two calls daily from 0808 145 3060 and 3066. I’d heard on here that it might be a scam, or maybe it was Lloyds. Thing is, I’ve never even banked with Lloyds before. So I rang them up myself, and they confirmed it was legit, but apparently, they’re probably trying to reach whoever had my number before me. I get loads of calls meant for the previous owner, even though I’ve had this number for a couple of years now. Yesterday, I also got a text claiming to be from "LloydsBank", asking me to make a payment. The weird bit was, no number showed up for the message, just the name "LloydsBank" exactly like that. When I called Lloyds, the bloke said I shouldn’t worry unless they address you by your name. He asked me if the text said "Dear Miss X" or anything like that, and I told him no, so he said it’s probably nothing to stress about. If you do get calls like this and feel you don’t owe anything, Lloyds can take your number off their list if you contact them - the caller’s usually from their collections or debt recovery team.

Had a rather concerning phone call from this number earlier today. The individual on the other end claimed that in order to secure my bank account, I needed to share some personal information with them. When I inquired about the specifics of this so-called 'security breach', they refused to elaborate unless I first provided my details. It's crystal clear that this was a scammer attempting to extract sensitive information to either breach my bank account or impersonate me entirely. Quite alarming, really!

Had a few calls from this number and finally picked up to see what it was about. Turns out it's the Lloyds Banking Group debt collection line. If you've got accounts or a mortgage with Halifax, Birmingham Midshires or any firm under Lloyds umbrella, this is the team that contacts you if you’ve missed payments or owe money. Honestly, would’ve preferred some nuisance prank call instead! The tricky bit is this number gets used by lots of call centres worldwide who handle Lloyds debt chasing. So while the number’s always the same, the people calling could be anywhere across the globe. When you call back, it’s usually just an automated message, but if you’re calling from a number they recognise, they know you tried reaching out. If you’re ever in doubt about the caller’s legitimacy, you don't need to give out personal info right away. Best to ask for a callback number or look up a local branch’s contact. Chat to an actual person to confirm who they are, and then have them ring you back - on their dime. And if it's a scammer trying to get my bank details, tough luck. Unless they’re planning to clear my debts, they won’t be getting a penny from me. Stay cautious and just ignore these calls if you’re unsure. Caller number: 08081450360 for Lloyds Bank Group.

From what I’ve found, this number belongs to the Birmingham Midshires debt recovery team chasing overdue mortgage payments; they’re linked with the Bank of Scotland, same as Halifax, Lloyds, and a few others who use similar debt collectors. So if you’re behind on your payments, expect loads of calls and texts from them. They do ask for your date of birth, current address, monthly payment amounts, and your payment method. I’ve had to talk with them quite a few times. They do stop calling eventually, but it usually takes them about a day to do so. Hope that’s useful info.

I ignored like 20 calls from this number, but eventually picked up and just said "hello" nicely. There was complete silence on the other end, then the call ended. I switched my phone off and back on because I've heard scammers can somehow mess with your calls. Today, they rang again and this time a woman with an Asian accent came on claiming to be from Lloyds Bank. She asked for my date of birth to “verify” me. I told her I’d closed my account months ago and have no plans to open another one. She insisted my account was still open and active, even this morning, and said she urgently needed to confirm it was me. I stuck firm saying I was sure it was closed but said I’d visit the branch in person to sort it out if needed. She said no need, I could confirm it over the phone. I politely said after work I’d go to the bank myself and give them the number she called from, so they could confirm my account was closed. Hopefully, that’s the last I hear from these fake “Lloyds” callers!

Got a call yesterday from someone saying they were with Lloyds, but they wouldn’t say what it was about until I gave my date of birth and postcode. I told them I don’t even have an account with Lloyds and they just hung up on me. Then today, on a Sunday of all days, the same voice rang again, this time pretending to be from HSBC. Since I don’t bank with HSBC either, I just gave them made-up info. They said there’d been odd spending on my account and asked for my full name, account number and sort code to check. I said I didn’t remember my HSBC details and asked them to hang on while I looked for my bank statements. Left them waiting for like 10 minutes before they finally realised and hung up 😄. The number they called from was 0808 145 0360.

Respond by stating you’re from the bank’s fraud division. The calls will cease immediately. It’s the bank that places a hold on your account to recover issued transactions; you should reach out to the bank as this is a notification process. This number has rung me three times on my mobile and once to my mum earlier this morning, before 8am! Honestly, which British bank calls so early? Bet they’re still having their morning brew! They said it was urgent about some banking matter. I popped into my local Lloyds branch later on to check and they said they hadn’t contacted me at all. Definitely a scam. Then tonight at 8:15pm, some bloke with an Indian accent rang claiming to be from Lloyds regarding my account. I flat out told him to stop trying to con me, reminded him I’d already been into my branch today. Since I’m already overdrawn, if they somehow find money in my account, can I get it back? Ha! I've had this number ring me loads and usually I just ignore it. But after seeing it pop up so often I finally picked up. The person on the line claimed to be from Lloyds Bank about some personal banking matter and wanted my date of birth. I wasn't having any of it, sounded fishy to me. I messaged Lloyds on Twitter about it and they reckoned it was a legit call from their collections department. But then I mentioned all the complaints online about this number and how it’s not always Lloyds calling. Now I’m waiting to hear back from them to clear it up. The wisest purchase I've ever made was my BT phone featuring an integrated call blocker. It's a brilliant device that allows you to pick and choose which calls to answer or reject outright. Any number that isn’t saved in your contacts has to announce itself before your phone even starts ringing. I got it about five months ago, and I haven’t received a single spam call since! I received a call on both my mobile and landline from someone purporting to be from Halifax, insisting that they required my personal information for security checks. I found it rather odd to receive such a call at nearly five in the afternoon on a Sunday. When I mentioned my concerns, the chap suggested that I could either return the call or visit my local branch. I reiterated that the whole situation felt rather dodgy, and he was quite polite in acknowledging my discomfort before promptly ending the call. I'm left wondering how they manage to obtain our contact numbers in the first place. What steps can I take to put a stop to these nuisance calls? I received a call earlier today from a lady with an Indian accent regarding my Ultimate Reward account. She had my date of birth and postcode, which has left me a tad anxious. She claimed that I had exceeded my overdraft, though I thought I was well within my limit the last time I checked. What struck me as odd was that she seemed to be aware of the transfers I’d made from my other account. It’s quite unsettling, to be honest. I'm supposed to get a callback at 2 o'clock this afternoon, and I can’t shake off this unease.

They've begun ringing me every day without fail. I picked up once, and the caller claimed to be from Birmingham & Midshires regarding my mortgage. Quite unsettling, considering I actually have a mortgage with them! I mentioned I was busy, and they urged me to ring back, instructing me to change the last digit to reach 08081450369. I opted not to return the call, but upon investigating, I discovered the original numbers were linked to Lloyds Banking Group and B & M. Still, I suspect they might be spoofing numbers, as banks typically don't reach out about such matters. It's becoming quite a nuisance now!
