Some scammer pretending to be Barclays with an American accent kept sending loads of texts saying "here's your one time passcode" even though I don't even hold an account with them. Then they called me, so I told them off and warned I'd report to the police. If you get any weird calls or messages, make sure you report them to 7726. They look into it and usually shut those spammers down so they stop pestering people.

We've been getting calls from this number at our place of business, incessantly. Each time we answer, it’s completely silent. If we try returning the call, it seems to connect to Barclays Bank. It’s become quite the nuisance, ringing our phones around twelve times, and we continuously encounter the same frustrating situation-absolutely nobody on the line. I'd recommend being wary of this one.

BARCLAYCARD BUSINESS CALL. I rang back using a different phone and the person said they were from Barclaycard Business. When I questioned if it was a scam, they told me to call the number on my card and seemed to get why I was worried about scammers. Looks like this number is legit :-)

Got a call at 9.10am on a bank holiday Monday about my Barclaycard business account. The bloke had all my company info, my name and everything. On top of that, I’ve been bombarded with texts informing me that my payment hasn’t gone through. The thing is, I’ve never owned a Barclaycard, not even once! Got a call from them bang on 9 in the morning on a Saturday, told them I’m not interested. Then some bloke with an Indian accent rang back on Tuesday, I told him to stop calling. Just noticed a missed call from them again! These Indian scammers just don’t get the message, they keep calling no matter what. If it was serious, the bank would write to you, not call like this. Best thing to do is just keep ending the call straight away!

They asked me for my personal info before telling me who they were, wanted my address and all that. Surely my bank already has that, right? They never sent me any letters about problems or anything. I felt a bit lost, so I told them to send me something in writing first before I get involved. I said I'd get back to them once I had some official mail.

Just got a call from this number and it sounded proper convincing, but I’m well aware banks don’t call like that. Told the bloke to jog on, that he was clearly a scammer. He stayed calm and told me to call him back, but I just told him to get lost, you f****** liar, and hung up. I asked him to prove it and he told me to hang up and ring back on the same number. But it’s a scam because the line never really disconnects and when you call again you get straight through. Complete rubbish, Barclaycard would never ask for simple, generic details just to get into your account. They’d know straight away I’ve got a business account and were pretending like my Outlook account hadn’t been settled. They kept pestering me to pay up with them and even tried to get me to set up a direct debit to some random account and sort code. Don’t bother engaging, just block them and warn others, especially older folks who might be more at risk.
