dont ever call back this number, its one of those computer scams where they lock your screen and try to squeeze money out of you. if you think your pc has been hacked, best thing is to take it to a trusted computer expert and get it checked out properly. stay safe!

It’s quite frustrating, isn’t it? You end up having to close down your web browser, which leads to losing all those tabs you had open - like your emails and ongoing searches, for example. It’s a right nuisance! Is there any sort of solution floating about? I’m currently using Zone Alarm, just to keep you in the loop.

My daughter's laptop had this weird message pop up that just wouldn't disappear no matter what I tried. So I called the number on the screen and when the person answered, she asked how old I was. After I told her, she just told me to switch to another browser.

i had the exact same experience. a robo call said my computer was hacked. i didn’t ring back but just shut down my PC and ran a Norton scan. it found nothing, so i restarted and opened my browser. the scary message was still popping up, so i closed the browser again. this time i didn’t freak out, just jotted down the number and checked it out here. well, you know how it goes after that! cheers to everyone here for the info.

Just got hit with this too, so glad I found this post coz I had no clue what was going on. My partner rang the number back and asked them all sorts of questions about who they were, and of course they just cut the call straightaway. Not sure if there’s any cost to that phone call but seriously, don’t ring that number - it’s defo some dodgy scam! 27

So I got a pop-up saying my computer was locked and they gave this number to call. I thought it was dodgy, so I asked them to tell me the number I'd just rung. They couldn’t do it. I just shut all my browser tabs and my computer worked perfectly after. Honestly, these scammers are something else.

my laptop suddenly showed a message saying it was locked and told me not to switch it off. it also said i had to call this number so their tech team could fix the issue. i was told my emails and photos were being hacked and it kept warning me to not turn it off and call immediately. i felt really worried, but then i searched this number online and found these reviews. thanks for sharing! i shut down my laptop anyway and ran a virus scan, which found nothing suspicious. this is clearly a horrible scam from some really unpleasant people. definitely avoid!
