Got a text early morning, about 4:41am on Monday 7th March, saying something about Track & Trace and that I'd been near someone who tested positive. It told me to take a test and included a link. Luckily, after seeing this site and reading other comments, I didn’t click the link. I checked the NHS website and it said the “Test and Trace” service is no longer running. Totally a SCAM, I got a call from a relative who was proper freaked out cuz they weren’t sure what to do. I told them to ignore it, it’s that Track and Trace scam going around. The link in the text they sent, even though it looks official and ends with .com, is actually dodgy. Remember, Test & Trace has finished now anyway. If you do feel unwell, just stay at home and rest up. If you want to take a lateral flow test, ask your GP - it’s easy, and you usually get results within 30 minutes, or even quicker with some tests. Similar to previous notices, I received a text claiming I had been in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID, complete with a link directing me to a testing site for Omicron PCR.

I had a similar experience, receiving a text at half past two in the morning. As luck would have it, I don’t even have the track and trace application!

It’s the middle of the night, around 3 am, and I’ve just received a message. I haven’t dared to touch the link as my gut feeling tells me it seems rather dodgy!

Received a dodgy text regarding a Covid test. I ran the website through a few security checkers and it flagged as unsafe. Interestingly, the URL is registered in Switzerland, definitely not affiliated with the NHS! Be cautious, everyone!

AVOID THEIR LINKS LIKE THE PLAGUE!! They’re pretending to be affiliated with the NHS test and trace scheme. Honestly, it’s ridiculous; that service has been shut down for ages!

Received a message claiming to be from track and trace, but I've never downloaded the Covid app or anything similar. There's no conceivable way they could possibly know my whereabouts, so it's clearly a scam! Avoid clicking that link at all costs!
