Found it odd it came from a mobile number supposedly linked to the NHS, so did some digging. Turns out Covid NI actually post a warning about this exact text on their site - so yeah, definitely a scam. When you click on the NHS section or any of the links at the bottom like "accessibility statement," "cookies," or "our policies," they merely lead to a blank page with an invalid URL. Additionally, there are errors in spelling and misleading information regarding COVID. The phrase “remains dormant in the original test kits” is simply incorrect. Further digging revealed numerous reports from December echoing the same concerns: this is undoubtedly a scam and completely bogus.
