Blocking these scam calls is pointless really. The idiots just ring back with endless fake numbers they have in bulk that you can’t trace. Someone shared details here about how to actually stop this, if you’re keen to take action. The tools to fight this exist, but no one in power wants to make it happen. If enough of us ask our MPs tough questions about it, they have to reply officially. It’s frustrating but at least we can make a fuss and get them on the record.

Got a message from this number claiming I’d been near someone with covid. Almost had a panic as I’m a full-time carer for my disabled partner I live with. Luckily I realised it’s a scam and ignored it. Don’t reply to anything like this, it’s fake!

I just got a call on my mobile that isn't even linked to the app... it's my work phone, which I mostly use alongside my personal one, but there's absolutely nothing stored on it. Thought I'd better look up the number here first.

I got a weird text about some Covid test, seemed off to me. Looks like one of those scams trying to mess with people during this pandemic. Been getting loads of dodgy messages lately, so watch out if you get anything about testing or health stuff. Don’t click any links, it’s probably just a trick.

These awful Test and Trace scams are just terrible. The Government really need to step in, but it looks like they couldn't care less about sorting out these nasty frauds and the awful folks behind them.

Honestly, not sure who called, so I just blocked the number. I flagged it as spam since it kept saying I’d been close to someone with a positive test. Don’t trust it at all - it’s absolute nonsense!

I've just had a similar note from track and trace, but the strange thing is I haven’t interacted with anyone in ages, and I haven't even left the house! There's absolutely no chance I've caught Covid, especially since I’m fully jabbed with three doses. I can’t shake the feeling that this is nothing but a scam.
