Got a text claiming to be from the Post Office about a missed parcel delivery for Jamie, but it was sent at like half past eleven at night which seemed dodgy right away. The message had a link to some "local depot" where they wanted me to put in personal info and then card details to pay a redelivery charge. I know Royal Mail never asks for money like that. Blocked the number straight away. Don’t fall for it - they’re just trying to scam you out of cash. Stay safe, folks!

Got a message saying parcel delivery failed from someone named Jamie. It linked me to a site that looked like the legit Post Office website but asked for my bank details to pay a £1.20 charge for re-sending the parcel. Seemed dodgy to me!

The real post office never sends texts about missed deliveries. The link looks legit at first, but trust me, it’s a trick to steal your cash. Best thing to do? Got a call from Jamie about 6 in the evening, saying he had attempted to drop off a package. Problem is, he seems to be invisible, as does his van! Never mentioned which company he’s with or who sent the parcel, so I haven’t bothered returning his call or messaging him. The state of the place he’s meant to deliver to makes me think his van’s barely holding together. Best not to pick up if this number rings you.

So early Sunday morning, like 1:23am, I got hit with this parcel scam call. A while back I decided to play along, using a fake card and made-up info while recording the call live. I put that clip up on my Facebook page about anti-scamming to warn people and show exactly how these scams work. Honestly, these little calls are kind of entertaining and brighten up my day. I’m all about calling out dodgy ads on Facebook!

Poor Jamie’s got more stuff to drop off than Santa himself on Christmas Eve. Lucky for us, the guy in the red suit with the white beard is way better at sneaking in surprise gifts than Jamie could ever be. The reason we keep getting these annoying calls and messages is because some folks who aren’t so sharp end up getting tricked, giving these fraudsters free reign to make a living off it. Plus, the problem is made worse because people don’t bother to report these scams. The police and government have little clue how wide this goes on.
