I've got the same message again, just like last November. I'm fairly positive it's some sort of scam and I wouldn't recommend replying with STOP because that just lets them know your number is active for more spam. I've had loads of Amazon parcels since then, so maybe it's one driver, but honestly, it feels way more like a scam. The timing probably just happens to coincide with when you’re expecting something. The message said something along the lines of 'A driver has info about your delivery. Reply STOP to opt out of Amazon texts…..' Avoid replying, I reckon.

I can't say I think this was a scam at all. <br/>Initially, I received a message that read:<br/><br/>A delivery driver is seeking assistance with your Amazon order. Text STOP if you wish to cease these notifications.<br/><br/>Then I got another one saying:<br/>Your delivery is on its way! Please make sure your pets are secure and illuminate the area if it's dark. Cheers!<br/><br/>Followed by yet another message:<br/>Your order has now been dropped off. This conversation will end in 5 minutes.<br/><br/>I didn’t spot any links in those texts. When I arrived home, I found two Amazon parcels had indeed been delivered.

I’ve never got these kind of texts till after Amazon Prime Day, and I’d made a couple of orders then. What threw me off was that the message was sent from a normal mobile number, not like an official Amazon one. A couple of hours later, I got the same text again but the number was barely different - just one digit changed. If it’s meant to be the same delivery driver, why bother switching numbers? Doesn’t add up to me.

Got a text from an Amazon courier from +447418342914 saying he’d be arriving shortly. I glanced outside and saw the Amazon van pulling up, then the driver rang the bell not long after. When I asked if he was the one who’d sent the text, he said yes, it’s some new system to alert customers their delivery is just about to happen. Later, the same number messaged me again to say the parcel was delivered. The timing matched the normal Amazon email and app notifications, so I reckon this number’s genuine, though I can’t be 100% certain.
