I was checking the status of an Amazon parcel, which showed it was just one stop away in my neighbourhood. Loads of folks reckon it’s a scam, but honestly, it isn’t. I was a bit suspicious myself and ignored the message about the driver needing to ask something about my package. Turns out it was genuine - my parcel actually got dispatched just a few minutes after that text.

Just got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon telling me to make sure my pets were safe and switch my lights off. Felt dodgy, so I’ve reported it to O2 like a few others mentioned here.

Got a weird text telling me to "secure the pets" and switch on the lights, then to reply "STOP" if I wanted to quit getting these messages. A minute later, another said my order had been delivered and that the chat would end in 5 mins. Then next minute, it claimed the delivery failed and, again, the session would close in 5 mins. Whoever’s behind this is about as useful as the so-called "Safety Officer" on the Belgrano ship! Went ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from Amazon warning me about a parcel that was about to arrive.

Got a message saying my parcel was on its way and to make sure pets were kept safe and to leave a light on if it was dark. Then, just a few mins later, I got another text saying the delivery had been dropped off - which it definitely was, left right where I usually keep my stuff safe.

Just received a weird text about Amazon needing help with my delivery, telling me to secure any animals and turn on lights if it’s dark. I am waiting for a delivery from Amazon, so I’ll be curious to see if my stuff shows up today. Wish there was a way to update this if they do, but I can’t ask the delivery person if they really sent the message since I’m not home right now.

I just got a ring right after I bought something off Amazon, but the number was totally unfamiliar so I didn’t pick up. Then I looked it up here and found out it’s likely one of those dodgy scams trying to snag info from Amazon buyers. Pretty risky stuff.

At first, I figured it was some sort of scam when I got the text, but then, just a couple of minutes later, my Amazon parcel arrived through the door. Shortly afterwards, I got another message confirming that my delivery was made.

So I was trying to check out this number when someone knocked on my door - it was the Amazon delivery guy with my package! Bit weird though, because he asked for a hand with a tiny little fluffy pencil case 🤷‍♀️. Anyway, the text was definitely genuine.

Be cautious with this number! It mimics the Amazon notification to a tee, but engaging with it only opens the floodgates to more scammy or phishing texts. It seems like they're just fishing for active numbers to keep pestering. Best to ignore any response!

When the driver showed up, I asked him about the whole thing. Apparently, it’s legit - he said Amazon has started sending folks like him to secure dogs and switch on the lights and all that. Funny enough, the text arrived just a few minutes before he got here.

Got a message about some sort of help with an Amazon parcel delivery, sounded dodgy. They said to reply ‘stop’ if I didn’t want any more messages. Didn’t risk it, just blocked the number and deleted the text straight away. Definitely looks like a scam.

Definitely a dodgy scam. I’ve heard if you text back STOP, it only makes things worse because it lets them know your number’s active, so they bother you even more.

Got this text at 11:31 pm! It said some driver needed help dropping off my Amazon parcel and to reply STOP if I want no more messages about Amazon stuff. Then it said the delivery was on its way and to make sure pets are kept safe and lights are on if it's dark. After that it claimed the order was delivered and the chat would close in 5 minutes. Thing is, I didn’t receive anything at 23:31 at all... very confusing!

I just got a message like some others here, something about an Amazon courier needing assistance with a delivery. Then, not long after, another text popped up saying the order’s been delivered and the chat will close in five mins. Thing is, I haven’t bought anything from Amazon in ages and haven’t had any parcels today. Seems a bit fishy to me.
