Just got a message from this number 07418 342917 and thought I'd check if it was legit. I asked the delivery driver if he’d sent the text and he said yeah, it really is from Amazon. So it’s a proper number, not a scam or anything.

Got a couple of dodgy messages claiming to be from Amazon. The first one said my delivery was on its way and oddly talked about pets and told me to text STOP if I wanted to. Then, a second message popped up saying the parcel had been delivered, which isn’t true at all since I hadn’t ordered anything. Definitely best to ignore these and not reply.

Got a message asking me to bring my pets in so they wouldn't bother the delivery person. I reckon the text was sent just as he was heading up my driveway because not long after it arrived, someone knocked at my door. It might just be a coincidence that the two things happened at the same time, but to me this number seems legit. If you’ve shared your number with Amazon, it’s quite likely you’ll get a message when your parcel is about to show up.

Got a text supposedly from Amazon saying the delivery driver was having trouble with my parcel and to reply STOP if I didn’t want more messages from them. They also told me to put my pets away and switch on a light if it’s dark. It was the middle of the day in July though, which felt a bit off. Not long after, I got another text saying the package had been delivered, which made me think someone might be phishing or trying to scam. I’ve had tons of Amazon deliveries before but never received anything like that. Certainly raised my suspicions!

Got two texts just moments apart from someone claiming to be Amazon. One said a driver needed help with my delivery and to reply STOP if I wanted to stop getting texts about Amazon parcels. The other message said they’d be arriving shortly, asking to make sure pets were safe and to switch on a light if it was dark outside. Had a quick look at my Amazon account and there ain’t any orders pending collection or delivery. So, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number now.

Got a text today saying 'A driver needs assistance with delivering your Amazon package'. Seriously, how hard is it for a delivery guy to find a simple address? Just punch the postcode into the SatNav (doesn’t every driver have one nowadays?) and job done. Sounds very dodgy to me - definitely smells like a scam.

It was about a parcel from Am*zon meant for somewhere in York. I don’t like it at all when Am*zon.com contacts me out of the blue. To me, it’s a company that harms free-market competition and privacy by using calls to secretly install tracking stuff on your phone or computer. There was really no point in them ringing me anyway, as the package had already been delivered fine when they called.

Got a suspicious text today claiming it was from Amazon saying my order had been delivered, but I never ordered anything. The message came through at 18:06, and right then I got another one telling me to reply “stop” if I didn’t want messages. I reckon it’s just a scam to check if the number is active. Definitely not legit.

Don't pick up, totally a scam. You can tell by how they post fake positive reviews just to trick folks. Wouldn't trust a word from them!

At first I wasnt sure if it was some kinda scam, especially with the odd text I got, but then the Amazon delivery showed up 5 minutes later. So I guess it was for real! Pretty strange tho.

Got a message claiming to be from Amazon but I’m not expecting anything at all. No deliveries due and didn’t get anything either. Seems like a scam to me. If you reply, you might get hit with some charges. They tell you to reply "STOP" but I reckon that just lets them know you’re active. Best off just blocking the number right away.

Was a bit wary at first when I got this text: "Your Amazon package is on its way. Please make sure pets are inside and lights are on if it’s dark. Reply STOP to opt out of delivery notifications." Felt scammy initially, you know how these messages usually come off. But within a couple of minutes, my Amazon parcel actually showed up. Would be good if they added an order number or something in the message though, makes it feel a bit more legit.

So today my Amazon parcel got delivered and at the same time I started getting quite a few messages from this number. I think it’s probably genuine considering the timing. Still, I’d advise caution before replying or clicking any links in messages, especially if they look fishy. Best to avoid opening dodgy ones or replying just in case.

Got a text saying “Your Amazon delivery driver needs assistance. Text STOP if you wanna stop getting messages from Amazon about deliveries. Hey there, I’m on my way to drop off your package. If you’ve got pets, please keep them indoors and maybe switch a light on if it’s dark out. Cheers!” I looked up the number pretty quick and, lo and behold, the parcel arrived in no time. Bought it off eBay but the delivery came via Amazon’s service. Everything seemed above board.

My Amazon package was left through my letterbox and I only noticed the messages after the delivery had already been made. From what I’ve seen, there’s quite a variety of opinions - some folks think it’s legit, while others are convinced it’s a scam. For me, it seemed genuine, but I did read a comment where someone rang Amazon themselves and was told it’s a con. The odd thing that caught my eye was the bit about making sure pets are safe and turning a light on if it’s dark outside! We do have animals, so that part stood out.

At first, I suspected it was a dodgy number when I got a text about an Amazon delivery coming soon. So, I looked it up on this site and it showed up as a scam. But then, within a couple of minutes, the Amazon courier turned up at my door with two parcels. I mentioned to her that I’d searched her number online and it was flagged as a scam, and she said she’d pass that on to Amazon. Turns out, it was a proper delivery from a very courteous lady.

After I got an Amazon package, I got a call from another number and then this number sent me a text saying "the driver is having trouble getting into your building to drop off your order". That’s rubbish though since I live in a detached house, not flats, and they left the parcel in my letterbox anyway. Both these numbers seem to be flagged as spam supposedly linked to delivery firms.

I got a message through the Flex app from someone claiming to be an Amazon Flex driver. Seems legit to me.

I was ready to write this off as a scam after reading all the other replies, so I didn’t give them any details. Then I got a bit worried when a white van pulled away nearby! After that, I looked on Amazon and noticed my order had been flagged as “rejected by you” right when they called. So yeah, it’s legit, but honestly, Amazon should make this whole thing clearer because it’s way too confusing.
