Got a ring from this number here in the UK on Jan 12, 2025. As soon as I answered, it was an automated message saying something about my HSBC card being used at a BMW dealer, and to press 1 if I didn't approve it. I ended up just hanging up. Later, my phone flagged the number as ‘likely a scam’. What really surprised me was finding out this number has been linked to scam calls for more than six years now.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HSBC saying there were two weird transactions about to hit my account. I immediately said they seemed fishy. Then I used the HSBC app to call the bank directly, using the app's security checks. They confirmed it was all a scam. Seriously, how has this dodgy number been going for so long?!

I got a call from this number, and they were acting like they were from Nationwide, which was dodgy. They seemed to know quite a bit about my account, which freaked me out. They attempted to set up a mobile phone for banking or something like that. There were two people on the call, both soundin’ really legit, but I caught the line crackling weirdly. Then they rang me back from a different number that showed up as private. Definitely felt off.

This number kept ringing me over and over. I didn’t answer any of the calls though. It looked a lot like an HSBC number at first glance. Then I discovered there was a dodgy transaction on my bank account. I reckon the calls and that transaction might be connected, maybe some kind of scam in progress.

Got a call from someone saying they’re from the HSBC fraud team, trying to trick me into transferring money to a different account. Don’t fall for it! I just ended the call and rang the number on the back of my card to check. Safe to always do that instead of trusting random calls.

Got a call from 03457404405 claiming they were from HSBC fraud team, so I just ended the call straight away. Around two days after I'd been on to SKY sorting out my subscription and hardware problems, I started getting dodgy calls. They keep pretending to be from either my bank or Sky. Honestly, I'm pretty sure someone working at their call centre in India is passing on my details like my phone number, name and address.

So this bloke claimed he was calling from HSBC, but it was so obvious a scam. I just fed him rubbish dates of birth and passwords, and he didn’t even bat an eyelid. He had a strong African accent that was hard to catch most of what he said. Funny thing is, the phone number was nearly the same as my real bank's, just one number different.

Got a call from someone pretending to be from First Direct or HSBC fraud team, telling me about a supposed scam involving a tiny payment from Hermes or the Post Office, which they said would show up in a text message. They claimed my info was being used by someone else and promised to refund the charges if I shared the security codes they sent me. Turns out those were the codes for authorising payments on Coinbase. It all sounded off since they never asked any proper security questions, and I just had a bad feeling about it. Be careful with this number - they’re definitely up to no good.

Steer clear of any calls from this number! They're nothing but fraudsters attempting to pillage your funds through your online banking. It happened to me just this morning, and I’m absolutely fuming! It’s unbelievable to think I fell prey to such a despicable con! They claimed to be with the HSBC fraud prevention squad and insisted they’d detected some dodgy activity in my account after I supposedly made some online purchases, which I most certainly did not. They had a convincing tone and went as far as setting up a temporary account for me to funnel my money into. They told me I’d need to visit an HSBC branch after the New Year to get a new permanent account number and sort code. I've already been in touch with the genuine HSBC fraud team, and they confirmed it was indeed a scam.
