These types of calls happen almost daily and come from various sources, often with an automated voice requesting that you press a key. Based on the familiar pattern, I assume this call was yet another in a series of such scams.

I switched my phone provider back in June and got a brand new number. Ever since then, I've been getting calls from banks about suspicious activity on my credit card. The first call claimed to be from Lloyds, now today a caller from Bank of Scotland with the same story and asking for the same person. This is so frustrating, I’m probably going to have to change my number again, which is such a pain and stressful. I’m elderly and have disabilities, and honestly, these scammers should be locked up.
