I never bought anything from them but somehow they say I did. They always had access to my credit card info too. Total scam if you ask me.

I got a call from someone saying they were from Bank of Scotland and they even knew my name. I rang the bank to double-check and they told me it was definitely a scam call.

The phone kept ringing for ages before I picked up, only to be met with a recorded message. I stayed quiet and just let it play out until it finished, then I simply ended the call.

Today, I received a call on my mobile from a supposed representative of the Bank of Scotland. Since I didn't recognize the number, I chose not to answer. Shortly after, my house phone rang. It was the same caller claiming that there was fraudulent activity on my credit card and advising me to press any key for assistance. I immediately hung up. These types of calls happen almost daily and come from various sources, often with an automated voice requesting that you press a key. Based on the familiar pattern, I assume this call was yet another in a series of such scams.

Got three missed calls on my landline. I rang back and the number said it was from BOS fraud team. I hung up straight away and then phoned the number listed on my bank’s official site. The bank told me it wasn’t them and there were no warnings on my account. Turns out it was just a scam.

I switched my phone provider back in June and got a brand new number. Ever since then, I've been getting calls from banks about suspicious activity on my credit card. The first call claimed to be from Lloyds, now today a caller from Bank of Scotland with the same story and asking for the same person. This is so frustrating, I’m probably going to have to change my number again, which is such a pain and stressful. I’m elderly and have disabilities, and honestly, these scammers should be locked up.

I rang my nearest branch and was told it was definitely a scam. They warned me not to push any buttons to get through to whoever was calling. Luckily, I haven’t seen anything strange on my cards.

I got a call claiming to be from the Bank of Scotland fraud team, which made me a bit wary at first. I ended up hanging up, then rang the bank back using a number I trust to check if it was legit. Honestly, if you’re unsure, definitely do the same to be safe.

I actually got a call from what sounded like the Bank of Scotland. It was an automated message checking if some transactions were really mine, which I confirmed. My card had been declined earlier since I’d already used it three times within 10 minutes, so it made sense. They never asked for any personal information, which was a relief.

I got a call from the Bank of Scotland fraud department about some dodgy activity on my Netflix account. Apparently there’s been attempts to scam using Netflix payments. They’re making sure everything’s alright on my side. Just a heads up - keep an eye on your accounts and don’t ignore weird stuff!

So this number called my mobile once and my home phone a couple of times this morning. Afterwards, they texted me asking about a payment I’d made, including the exact amount and recipient. It actually matched a legit transaction from BOS. The thing that bugs me is them getting suspicious about payments made at odd hours - not everyone sleeps soundly and some of us get more done at night. Not every late-night transaction is dodgy, BOS!

This number rang me up earlier and the person said there had been some suspicious activity on my credit card. They told me to press any key to speak with a bank rep who could sort it out. I didn’t press anything though, seemed like a total scam to me. Pretty dodgy call if you ask me.

This call seemed legit at first - they said they were from Bank of Scotland warning me about fraud on my account. But I had a feeling it might be some kind of scam, so I didn’t give them any info. Instead, I rang the number on the back of my card. Turns out, there were some dodgy attempts to take money, but luckily they’d all been stopped. They’ve gone ahead and cancelled my card, and I’m getting a replacement sent out tomorrow.

I got a call from someone saying they were from BOS Fraud team. So, I phoned the number on my BOS card directly, and they told me they were the ones who rang me to verify a payment I made the night before that seemed a bit dodgy to them. Definitely not a scam.

Something felt off since it was an automated call, so I decided to ring the Bank of Scotland's main customer service number myself instead. Turns out the call was legit - my card had actually been used fraudulently just 20 minutes before. Gotta hand it to them, their response was swift and the voicemail they left included a separate phone number to call back plus a unique ID code to enter. With all the fake calls floating around, it’s no wonder we get wary when a real one comes through.

Got another call from them today. It was one of those robotic voices saying a name that’s not mine and claiming my credit card was charged. I don’t even have a credit card, just a debit card. If there was a problem, I’d expect a text or maybe someone calling personally if it’s urgent.

This number seems to genuinely belong to the fraud prevention unit of the Bank of Scotland. I chose not to pick up, as it popped up on my phone with a couple of zeros ahead of 345, giving it the impression of an unsolicited international call from Spain. It’s clearly an automated system for fraud checks, which can easily lead to misunderstanding. Sadly, this sort of hassle seems to be part and parcel of doing business online nowadays.

This number called me about my son, who doesn’t live here anymore. They said they were from the BOS fraud team. I heard the message but hung up straight away. Since I didn’t reply to their questions, they’ve rung me 4 times now. My son used the phone number on his bank card to contact BOS directly, and after checking his account they both confirmed everything was fine.

Got a voicemail supposedly from the Bank of Scotland fraud dept. It sounded dodgy straight away - the name was said wrong and it was one of those recorded messages asking me to press a button to get back to them. They also gave this number ending in ...1496 along with some sort of code to call back with. I thought I'd better check so I popped into my local BoS branch, and they confirmed there’s no fraud going on and told me to just disregard it. Definitely a scam!
