If this wasn’t some sort of scam, then how come I got 16 missed calls on my work phone last Saturday? Neither me, my staff, nor my business has anything to do with TSB or any of its partners like Sabadell, Lloyds, or Santander. Honestly, don’t fall for these dodgy fraudsters - there’s clearly some of them commenting here too.

Got a call on my mobile, then on my landline, and even got a text from this number saying there was fraud on my TSB account. I wasn’t certain so I rang the TSB phone number I already had. They confirmed the other number was legit and told me my debit card had been frozen because of a dodgy payment. They arranged for a new card to be sent and gave me the money back.

Got a call from 03453511692 earlier today, Saturday 5th April 2025. The person said there was dodgy activity on my debit card and told me to press 1 for more details. I didn’t press anything, but I looked up the number just to be sure. Since I bank with TSB and they don’t get in touch like that, I figured it was a scam. This is a legit TSB number, it’s from their anti-fraud team. I used checkmycar.io for a car history check which was meant to cost £5.90, but then got hit with a dodgy charge for £39.90 a few days later. Seems like this company is scamming loads of folks and somehow ranks top on Google search! Thankfully, TSB spotted the suspicious activity and froze my card after I got a text asking me to reply Yes or No about certain transactions. So yeah, TSB is real, but be ready to spend about 30 minutes on hold before you get through to someone genuine.

This really is the legit TSB fraud squad. It’s kinda funny how TSB claims they never call customers, yet here we are. I managed to get someone on this number, but they gave me totally different details compared to what TSB told me when I called them the previous day. I’d suggest steering clear and blocking it. I noticed some Tesco transactions on my account that I definitely didn’t authorise. It was an automated voice saying it’s a card check line, playing recent purchase details, then asking you to CONFIRM if you made those purchases. If you say no to any, it sends you straight through to TSB Card Fraud Team! TSB said this is a LEGITIMATE TSB number, but scammers might SPOOF it sometimes. Got a missed call from this number, so I checked it out and it looked like it was from TSB. I asked my son, who has an account with them, if he’d had any issues with his card recently. Turns out the call happened right when he was trying to pay for a ferry ticket while he was in Spain. He’d been using his card across France and Spain for a few days, so I reckon the bank was being cautious and wanted to confirm it was really him - they’d blocked his card for the time being. Once he got online and replied to their message, the card started working again. Seems like this number is legit.
