It’s a bit annoying that this number isn’t shown in the John Lewis app anywhere but if you chat with the John Lewis bot first, it verifies the message really came from them and that my card got blocked. Thanks to this line, I was able to get a replacement card ordered. So yeah, all sorted and secure :-)

Just like some others here, I got a text showing one dodgy payment and two legitimate ones asking for authorisation. I said no, then got a call where they did some ID checks and cancelled the card, but not the second one linked to my account. When I checked online, I noticed a replacement card was already being sent out. The text came from the same number that previously sent me a scam warning, but that alert turned out to be about a real transaction I made. So, I reckon it wasn’t a scam this time, although I guess a truly skilled scammer could fake something like this down the line...

Got a call from a robotic voice claiming it was checking a John Lewis Credit Card for fraud.
