Got a call flagged as spam so I just ignored it. Later, a voicemail popped up from "Cabot Financial" asking me to press 1 if I'm free now. Didn't bother at all. Cabot Financial keep ringing up about a debt that isn’t mine. They use the 0344556 dialling code but different last digits each time, and loads of calls come through. They ring all hours with pre-recorded messages, send texts, and somehow even get hold of your email to send messages there as well. Saying they’re persistent is putting it mildly. Got a silent call from Cabot Financial just a few mins ago. They usually call us all day long, anywhere from 8 in the morning till about 9 at night and leave a voicemail. Maybe since I never bother calling back, now they’ve started giving me the silent treatment instead.

Jerk offs calling and asking for a made-up person thinkin they’ll trick you into ringin back (I’ve seen the same fake name used on loads of private numbers linked to different folks). Honestly, REPORT THIS TO THE ICO! They need to get that using the same bogus name on loads of random people isn’t just a mistake with the dialling, it’s just another sneaky scam!

Cabot financial kept ringing me everyday until I said I’d take legal steps. I’m definitely not some Helen Arnold or anything, I’m under 16 and from what I’ve seen, they’re not allowed to call me. It stopped for a bit but now they’re back at it again. Stay away from these lot!

Got a call early morning around 8am, the voicemail said it was Cabot Financial but didn’t specify who they wanted. They just left a message askin me to ring them back. From what I can tell, they’re a debt collector or sometin like that. My BT number’s fairly new so maybe whoever had it before me owed them or something.

Seeing the comment from 30/06, it seems this individual probably works for Cabot. Ive reported them to the ICO and would recommend anyone who’s getting hassled by this lot to do the same - it’s really the only way to get them to stop. I’ve phoned them loads of times saying I’m not the person they’re after, but they keep ringing every day even after I lodged my complaint with the ICO.

Its really annoying and illegal - getting random spam calls meant for someone else. Ive had this number on the TPS list for over 15 years but it clearly means nothing. Under the Data Protection Act (Principle 4), companies should keep accurate records but Cabot Financial clearly dont bother. The ICO just isnt doing its job, allowing this kind of blatant rule breaking to happen. The only thing you can do now is block these irritating calls.
