For more than two years, I keep getting calls and texts from these Cabot cabbages saying stuff like, "Hi Rolland Gallard? We left you a message, please click on the link below." I'm absolutely not Rolland Gallard, it's just so annoying and feels dodgy as hell. What a bunch of scoundrels.

Some bloke rang up claiming to be from HMRC saying I hadn’t paid some fine and if I didn’t sort it out, they’d take me to court. They tried to get me to give my bank details, but I told them HMRC wouldn’t ask for stuff like that over the phone and they usually send letters instead.

Got a call saying it was from Cabot Financial. A recorded voice told me to ring another number. I can honestly say I've never owed them or anyone else money. Ended the call pretty quickly after the first bit. Feels like one of those scam calls. Wonder how they even got hold of my mobile number.

This call is from Cabbot Financial, you can reach us on 03450700116.- Cheers" Call came through at 19:44 BST, and it’s the 4th one in about a week. Seriously annoying and feels like harassment.

Got a voicemail from a recorded lady telling me “this is a confidential call from Cabbot Financial, press 1 if you’re free now - or ring us back on 03450700116. Cheers.” The call arrived from 03445560280. This is the second time in three days, and I’d been getting these calls quite a bit a few months ago as well. Proper annoying!

I’m with Cabot as a customer, meaning I actually owe them money, but I pay them on time every month through a standing order and have done so for years. So they do have a valid reason to have my number and maybe call me, BUT this time they rang me unexpectedly at 7pm on a Friday evening and hung up after just two rings, before I could even think about answering an unknown 0345 number that’s not saved on my phone. So my advice to anyone who’s never dealt with Cabot before is to just block this number straight away.

They keep pestering me about debts I’m not responsible for. Somehow they managed to get both my phone number and a mate’s, and every text is identical, even down to the "reference" numbers. He asked for someone named "Richard," and when I informed him that no one by that name resides here, he was very apologetic and assured me that he would take my number off their list. That said, I haven’t a clue which company was trying to reach out.
