Got a phone call out of the blue about renewing my Sky maintenance contract, which I don’t even have. Sounds dodgy to me. I reckon it might be linked to Satellite Services - a company that gave me loads of grief a few years back. They used to be somewhere in Ford, West Sussex if I remember. Bit ironic since it's near that prison!

I said I didn’t use Sky, but she kept telling me I did and then asked for my bank info. When I asked her for her bank details instead, she quickly cut the call. Definitely a scam.

I just got a phone call from this number, someone claiming they could offer cheaper Sky protection. They sounded like they were reading off a script non-stop, not giving me a chance to get a word in. She started listing my name and address, which made me stop and ask why exactly I needed this and how I could be paying for something I already have - Sky Q handles all of that. She then tried saying I must have noticed the £10 monthly charge, but I told her I keep a close watch on my bank statements and that’s not true. I said I’d have to talk to my partner because he sorts out all that stuff, and then she got all rude and just hung up. Totally feels like a scam trying to grab personal info. No way would I give those details over the phone, especially from a cold call. I just hope people don’t fall for it - it’s worrying how some folk can do this stuff without any shame.

Got a call claiming to be from Sky maintenance, trying to pitch a cheaper cover deal from £150. I asked her where she got my details, and she said from the maintenance department. I'm pretty sure this is either a rip-off or a rebrand of a firm called BTG Home Solutions. When they ring you, they somehow know loads about you and talk like you’re already signed up with them. I got tricked once because I wasn’t paying proper attention; they said they were from Sky and claimed since I hadn’t needed any callouts, I qualified for a £150 discount over three years. But when I tried calling back the numbers they gave, no one ever picked up. And if you ask who they actually represent, they get dodgy and quite unfriendly.

My elderly mum, who’s 85, got a call from this lot trying to get her to pay for insurance on a Sky box she doesn’t even own. It’s disgusting how they target old people like that. Absolute scumbags, honestly. I’m so fed up with them ringing up all the time - just don’t pick up if they call you!

Somebody rang me claiming they were from "d###s for You" and said they could hook me up with as much dodgy stuff as I wanted. They were really pushy, even tried to tempt me with free samples! Apparently, today was some kind of "coke up your nose" celebration or something. I don’t get how they haven’t been tracked down yet. The bloke said he was calling from some call centre in Edinburgh, but honestly, he gave off a pretty dodgy vibe.

Watch out, this is definitely some kind of scam. They never tell you the name of the company or who's actually calling. They try to sell you cheaper insurance for Sky stuff but really, all they want is your bank details. Total scam, just a load of rubbish.
