Don’t be tricked by this scam, if they ask which card you plan to use, just name a different bank’s card. They’ll then tell you the first 4 or 6 digits of that bank’s card, which is typical for all cards from that bank. For instance, 4400 is for American Express and Visa, 5 usually means Mastercard, 4462 is a Delta card. A German Maestro card might start with 6705 #### #### 8. NatWest cards start with 4751 29## #### ####. When they share those first few numbers, it can sound convincing. But really, the scammers want the rest of your card numbers and your security code, so watch out.

I received a call regarding satellite insurance, and when they asked for my bank details, I provided them with incorrect information, which they didn't bat an eyelid at. Then, when they requested my card information, their details didn't align with my own. Absolutely dreadful experience, so I decided to hang up.

Got a call from someone claiming to be from RS services, ringing from this very number. They quickly started talking about lowering my satellite dish insurance or something like that. Then they began asking who my bank was, followed by trying to confirm parts of my card number, saying it might have changed. The bloke knew my address and checked if I still lived there! After that, he wanted the rest of my card details. When I asked why he needed it if he supposedly already had it, the line went dead straight away.

Got several calls from this number and ignored them at first, so I looked it up on this site. Then they called again, this time a woman answered. I mentioned that the number has a terrible reputation and got flagged on a few sites. She quickly said it wasn’t a sales call, and I asked nicely to be taken off their list. She wasn’t happy but said yes. Guess what? They rang back an hour later. I didn’t pick up. They obviously don’t respond to politeness and could do with a proper telling off.

I've been receiving calls from this particular number, as well as other 0333 numbers. It's incredibly frustrating because even after I block them on my landline, they simply switch to a different number and keep calling. It's rather unsettling to deal with these unwanted interruptions.

03332129690 tried the same trick as others, saying they could lower my insurance from £120 a year to just £50. They asked for the first 4 digits of my direct debit, which set off alarm bells since I pay through my bank, not on a card. I asked which company she was from, and she said RS Services, name was Caroline. I told her I’m already with Sky Protect but she kept pushing and asked for my full card details. I ended the call pretty quick. Sounded like a slick young woman, so be careful out there.

This woman called saying since I hadn't made a claim on my Sky dish, she could lower my bills. I agreed at first. Then she asked which bank I use and if I had my account number handy. I've gone ahead and blocked the number so she can’t ring again.

I've had loads of calls from this number, like almost every day, so I finally picked up. A really polite lady asked for me by name and was on about the same stuff others have mentioned here. She claimed I was paying £9.99 a month for insurance with Domestic & General??? Then she said they could lower that fee if I got extra cover for three years. "Sounds like a bargain, right?" she said! I told her I’d never heard about it before and needed to have a chat with my husband. She said no worries, she’d call again. Yeah, I’m definitely going to give them a piece of my mind next time.

A really nice lady called, using my first name which surprised me. She said she was from Regular TV Services and wanted to check if my TV signal was alright since she hadn’t received any complaints. I asked why I would tell her about faults when my block of flats, meant for older people, is wired with TV cables already. She then said she must have the wrong details. I even asked, ‘Is this some kind of scam?’ This sort of call feels intrusive and risky, as it tricks you by sounding so friendly.

Got a call from a woman with a Yorkshire twang, asking for my mum and got really annoyed when I told her she wasn’t available! (It’s also our family business number.) She wouldn’t say anything else. Was quite rude, so I ended up blocking the number. From what I can tell, they’re fishing for bank info.

Got a call on my phone saying cuz I’ve not had any issues with my Sky, I could cut down my insurance from £10 a month for a year to £150 for 3 years. Thing is, I’m not even paying £10 a month for insurance! They said I could pay it in three lots of £50 but I told them that’s too much for me right now. Proper annoying!

Today, I received three calls from a lady with a notable Scouse accent - first on my landline, and then she tried again on my mobile. She kept inquiring about satellite equipment, which is a bit puzzling since I don’t possess any sort of satellite television! What really struck me was when she rattled off my address and postcode; it was rather unnerving. She then had the audacity to request my bank details to supposedly 'clear' her records. I honestly couldn't believe it! After stating quite clearly three times that I don't have any such equipment, it felt as if she wasn’t listening or thought I was some sort of fool. Quite the experience, I must say!

Got a call from this number a moment ago. I picked up and all I heard was a robotic voice saying "Goodbye" before hanging up. Quite strange.

Got a call from this number earlier, they said they were satellite engineers or something, but they got found out since I only have cable, lol. Watch out for this one.

When I picked up, I could hear some soft music playing in the back. I was almost about to hang up when a man with an Indian accent asked if he was speaking to "Mrs .". I changed my surname after my divorce, so I’ve never been "Mrs ." which kinda shows he didn’t know me at all. I told him I’m not Mrs . and he just hung up. Most likely some sort of scam.

This number has been bugging me loads, called me twice just today in under 15 minutes. I get like 3 or 4 calls from them every week now, it’s getting really annoying. Pretty sure its a scam about some Sky or satellite insurance. Better not pick up if it rings. If they keep at it, just ignore.

They told me they were from Sky and could cut my insurance costs in half for 3 years. Total con! They ring me like twice a day and keep asking for my bank info. Don't trust them, it's not Sky. Just block the number straight away.

They called me twice yesterday, I only picked up once and told them we stopped using Sky ages ago. Then they phoned back three more times the next day. If they call again, I’m going to straight up tell them I’m onto their scam and I've already reported them to the proper authorities to get them shut down for good.

I said I’d rather drop sky than fork out for that box insurance. Can always sign back up later and get a free box again. :-)

Received a ring from RS services regarding a dish installation. I mentioned I’d never heard of them and asked if they could ring me back tomorrow as I wanted to do a bit of research first. Having looked into them now, I've decided I won’t be giving them any of my time or attention.

Crikey! These blokes had the audacity to pitch me some budget satellite insurance, despite the fact I don’t even own a satellite dish! They had my name and postcode, which was a bit unsettling. I decided to play along for a giggle until they started fishing for my bank info. I swiftly replied that I never share such details over the phone, and wouldn’t you know it, they hung up sharpish!

Just got the same call!! For sure a scam - I rang Sky to check and they told me they never share our info with third parties. Also, Sky staff can only see the last 4 digits of your card, not the full number. Apparently, the first 4 digits are common for all cards from a certain bank, which is why they ask for your bank name and mention those first 4 numbers. Proper dodgy move.

I received three calls from this number earlier today. There were some indistinct sounds on my end, which led me to think it might be a dodgy call. Nobody ever spoke during the first two tries, so I hung up promptly. By the third time, a woman’s voice faintly said “hello” twice, but I didn't stick around to chat and ended the call again.

Just got a call from this number about my TV satellite package! The caller knew my full name, address and postcode, and said he could offer me 3 years cover for £150 instead of the £120 I’m currently paying. He asked which bank my payments come from, I said Lloyds, then he wanted to know if I was using a card starting with 4##1. Told him it’s a DD not a card, and then he said we’d have to cancel the DD! I told him never mind then! He said goodbye quite fast and hung up on me!

Today I received a rather dodgy call promoting some more affordable satellite coverage. In a moment of poor judgement, I began to share my banking information with them, although I did hesitate and withhold a few details. Upon investigating the number later, I've come to the unsettling conclusion that they’re just a bunch of scammers. Quite the eye-opener!

The caller claimed to represent my insurance company, mentioning that due to my lack of claims, they could categorise me as low risk for a period of three years, which would reportedly save me around £150 annually. However, she insisted on acquiring the entire card number, sort code, and the security code from me. Naturally, I requested her to ring me back, and then I took a moment to search the number online, which led me here. Just to share my experience... I’ve now decided to block that number.

Got a call from some bloke claiming he could cut my satellite insurance bill in half. He mentioned he only had the first four digits of my debit card, 4751, and wanted the rest. Thing is, all cards round here start with 4751, so I told him to send something in the post or by email instead. He just hung up on me. Total scam, watch out!

Some bloke from what he said was a satellite firm called himself Pete. He kept grilling me with questions but I refused to reply. I told him to leave it and ended the call.

Got two calls from these lot earlier today. The first one hung up straight away when I echoed back "Good morning". The second bloke stuck around just long enough for me to ask what satellite coverage he was talking about regarding a discount, then just cut me off with no excuse or sorry. Just some pushy sales types who pester and then vanish.

I finally picked up the phone out of frustration from all the calls. The person on the other end was trying to sell me a cheaper deal on my Sky insurance. I told them I’m happy with my current provider and asked them to please remove me from their calling list. Of course, they rang me again the very next day. Nowadays, I just don’t bother answering numbers I don’t recognise. Honestly, they’re all annoying pests.
