I got a call from 03332027460 but didn’t pick up since I didn’t know the number. Later, I got a message asking me to confirm a payment on my card and saying I'd get another text with a reference number to check the payments. I decided to ring Barclays myself and they told me the number was legit and it was actually their fraud team. Pretty good system, but I’m still a bit wary about replying to numbers I don’t recognise.

Seeing some mixed reviews here made me call Barclays fraud department myself just to be sure everything was legit.

I called Barclays straight away and they said they never made any call about fraud. My advice is if you're unsure, ALWAYS ring Barclays yourself to confirm.

0333 202 7460 called me a few times, I didn’t pick up, it just kept ringing for a long time. So I rang back, and the bloke claimed he was from Barclays fraud department. He wouldn’t share any proper info but asked for my bank details and sort code. I had an email about a $350 payment I supposedly approved through PayPal, so I thought maybe it was connected. Luckily, I didn’t share any info. Then he just said he couldn’t help or anything??

Cheers! I’ve already figured out that this number is a total scam. Earlier, I received a text regarding transactions that raised all sorts of flags. It’s best to head into your bank rather than rush to respond to a text message. Take a breather and think things through. Just recently, I got a text about a transaction that was rather late compared to my spending-it was all good on my end. I was cautious and didn’t engage with any dodgy texts about transactions that were days old, everything was perfectly fine from my side. Then, not long after, I receive a phone call claiming to be from Barclays wanting my date of birth. No chance! I hung up straight away. If anything sounds fishy, trust your instincts and hang up. It’s smarter to visit your bank in person and chat with someone there rather than disclosing any personal details. Remember, there’s no law that compels you to share sensitive information over the phone. These scammers are experts at trickery, so stay sharp and take your time-give it a good 10 to 15 minutes of thought if needed. Oh, and don’t fall for their tactics-they’ll use terms like “fraudulent” and “scam” to make you believe they’re the real deal. Stay vigilant and don’t let their urgency push you into a corner!

I got in touch with Barclays using their app and spoke with their fraud team. They told me it was indeed them calling, and said I did the right thing by checking. For me, a payment was declined because I put in the wrong info and didn’t double check. But scammers can call and make it look like it’s from that number. So never give out any info over the phone, just use the app to contact them because that’s the safest way to be sure.

Yea this is actually a proper Barclays number... Barclays warned that scammers might 'spoof' numbers, making it look like they’re ringing you from Barclays. If you ever get a call and aren’t 100% sure it’s them, just hang up and call back. Use the number on the back of your Barclays debit card or any other phone number verified by their official checker to be safe.

Right, I got to this site after getting a call from 0443332027460. Since +44 is the UK code, I removed the 44 but kept the zero before it, which brought me here. I reckon scammers might be adding the 044 in front of legit Barclay numbers so they look real but are actually different. My advice - don't pick up calls from numbers longer than 11 digits.

Someone tried to pass themselves off as Barclays. I got in touch with Barclays directly and they told me they never called. The robocall even mentioned my birth date and stuff, so it looks like your info might be leaked somewhere. Best thing to do is contact your bank’s fraud dept using a phone number you trust. For Barclays, you can ring their fraud team at 08003891652 or 03332027464.

Got a voicemail on my mobile from someone saying they were from Barclays Fraud Department. They had my full name and told me to call 0333 202 7460 right away about some dodgy activity on my account. I didn’t follow their advice, instead I phoned Barclays directly from my landline, using the number I KNOW is legit. They told me my account is fine, no issues at all, and the Barclays Fraud Team hasn’t reached out to me. Plus, they confirmed that number isn’t real and this is absolutely a SCAM. I’ve reported it to the cops now.

I just received a call from a withheld number and got a voicemail asking me to ring Anne on 03332027465 (option 1). It seemed pretty convincing, but something didn’t feel right. I rang Barclays’ fraud department myself, and turns out this isn’t a genuine Barclays number. Don’t hand over any personal info to them. I received a couple of texts alerting me to suspicious activity linked to account 449.02 from the UAE. Shortly after, I got a voice mail urging me to ring up Barclays regarding a fraudulent authorisation. Being in the banking sector myself, I recognised it as a con straight away. I reached out to Barclays to verify and they reassured me that they hadn’t attempted to reach out at all. Steer clear of this number; it’s unquestionably a scam.
