Total scam. They just drop the call fast, then leave a voicemail with a three digit code for you to put in when you ring them back. I got in touch with Lloyds who confirmed that the supposed ‘misuse’ of my debit card online was a lie. Lloyds also told me loads of folks have been calling about similar scams lately.

Got a call about 20 minutes after an issue with my Lloyds debit card. I didn’t pick up. Rang Lloyds and they said the number’s not theirs and it’s likely a scam. All the texts seem to just mention Lloyds. Quite worrying really!! Also, I noticed someone said it’s Lloyds, so it looks like scammers might be hanging around on this site too.

03330459643 seems like a scam. I got a text claiming it was from my bank saying "you will soon get another text from ****** bank to verify a recent transaction on your card ending in *****". Then a follow-up message said somebody tried using my card but they declined the purchase, asking me to reply yes or no or something. I just deleted both messages right away. About 4 hours later I got a call from the same number. Didn’t pick up and have blocked it since.

I just had a rather alarming experience with what appears to be a highly elaborate scam masquerading as a text from Lloyds Bank. For goodness' sake, steer clear of responding to these messages or calls! They claim to represent the Fraud Prevention Team, yet it’s all rather dubious. If you happen to engage with them, I strongly advise hanging up and picking up another phone to dial the official number found on the reverse of your bank card. Your safety is paramount!

SCAM ALERT. Blocking these scammers really doesn’t help much since they just keep ringing from different numbers. What’s worked wonders for me is letting out a loud whistle into the phone - it’s surprisingly effective! I reckon they’ve taken my number off their lists now lol. Seriously, give it a go, it’s brilliant 👌

I got a bunch of calls marked as 'Suspicious Caller'. They left me an automated message that honestly sounded pretty fishy. Not sure why some folks are saying it's Lloyds, cos I rang them up myself today and they said it’s nothing to do with them. They also said there’s no weird activity on my account. So yeah, from what I can see, it’s definitely a scam. But if you want to take the risk, give them your info and then come back here and let us know how it went.

So got a call from someone claiming to be Lloyds Fraud Team - stupidly gave them my info and then they just ended the call. I contacted Lloyds Fraud Team myself after and they said they couldn’t confirm if the number was theirs or not. Totally useless, like a chocolate teapot. I’m quite worried now, so I’m closing that account and setting up a new one.

This number is legit! It belongs to the Lloyds Bank Fraud Department. I got a text claiming to be from Lloyds about some strange activity on my card. I'm usually cautious so I rang Lloyds on their official number and asked for the fraud team. They verified they’d indeed sent me that text with this number, and told me there had been several attempts to misuse my card info. This isn’t a scam!

Such a nasty scammer! She claimed to be from Lloyds bank, saying someone tried to take money from my account but it was blocked. I asked her for the expiry date of the card she mentioned, but she couldn’t give it to me. The issue is they seem to get a bit more info about me every time they ring - this time it was my DOB, maybe they already had it, who knows. I called her a lowlife scammer and she said she’d note it down on my file. Smug little lowlife.

Banks can ring you from loads of different numbers and scammers have faked pretty much all of them. Dont ever trust a call just cos it says it's from your bank. But also don’t just ignore calls from them either. Never hand over any personal info or confirm your name. Always hang up straight away and make sure the call really has ended. Then call your bank back using the number on the back of your card. Don’t put it off, there could be something important to sort out.
