Like a few folks have said already, the main issue is that weird robotic voice which sounds totally fake. But from what I can tell, this phone number really does belong to MBNA.

Got a ring from this number just now, and I’m not really sure it's legit. It sounded like one of those robot voice calls, not a person on the other end. Yesterday I had a call like this from a similar number and this site flagged it as spam. How’s anyone supposed to confirm if an automated call is trustworthy anyway? These numbers get faked all the time, so it’s hard to tell.

On 3rd January 2023, I got several calls from this same number. When I checked my account through the app, everything seemed normal with no suspicious activity.

The person on the other end called back and asked for my date of birth, saying they were from MBNA’s fraud team. If you just ignore the call, it ends abruptly.
