At first, I was suspicious it might be a scam, but the bloke on the phone seemed to know loads about my phone plan, like when it ends, how much data I've used recently (he was bang on), and naturally, the account holder’s name. A review from 28/8 mentioned the same guy with a Northern Irish accent. He even said he’d ring me again at a more convenient time. Didn’t share any of my info though.

Got a call from O2 about our mobile contract ending in September. They’re just trying to pitch new deals so you don’t switch to a different provider. Got a couple of calls from this number and then got a strange message saying I missed calls at 11:42 and 16:18 on 16 Aug. The message claimed it was a free alert from O2 with instructions to stop them by dialing 901, then pressing #, followed by options 4 and 5. It sounded fishy to me so I did a quick search online.
