Someone called me claiming HMRC says there’s a warrant for my arrest tied to some tax fraud. It sounded dodgy to me because I’m pretty sure I’d have got a letter in the post if that was true, plus why would HMRC even have my phone number? Definitely seemed like a scam.

Got a call from 03002000522A claiming I had an arrest warrant from HMRC, with some robotic voice. It said I needed to press 1 to talk to them. Took me a minute to realise it was a total scam. Seriously, just don’t press any buttons and just end the call immediately.
