I rang the number because it looked a lot like an HMRC contact, but an automated message came on saying 'there are currently no services running on this number.' Bit odd, to be honest.

It definitely came across as one of those fake HMRC calls. As soon as the automated voice mentioned HMRC, I switched off because I knew it was just another scam. These fraudsters are always trying to trick people out of cash, really annoying.

They go on about arresting you, like that's really gonna happen, as if we're all daft or something. Honestly, pity those who are more vulnerable and might actually believe this rubbish.
