Got a robocall saying I supposedly have some case against me. It said if I don't hit 1 to talk to some "advisor" about paying up, I'll get arrested. Total scam, don’t fall for it!

Got a call from this number, some fraud pretending to be from HMRC trying to bluff one of our clients. Best thing is to just ignore it and tell them your accountant will sort all of it out for you - even if you don’t actually have one!

Not sure who that was, but I never pick up calls from weird 0300 numbers. Usually just some sort of scam. Sorted, blocked now.

Got a call from 03002003917 saying it was HMRC. Don’t even think about pressing 1 - it just takes you to a super expensive line charging crazy rates per minute. Proper scam!

Got a call from someone pretending to be HMRC - an automated voice telling me to press 1 to talk to an officer. I wouldn’t advise pressing any buttons, just end the call straight away. Make sure to report the number to HMRC; it helps a lot if more folks do that. Stay cautious!

I usually just ignore calls from unknown numbers. But if I’m curious, I look them up here first and then block them if they're annoying.

The phone just rang and all I got was complete silence. Caller ID showed as Unknown. Nothing else.

Watch out for this HMRC scam, they don’t actually ring you directly. You’ll get an automated call saying press 1 to talk to someone from HMRC - that’s the trick. If you press, you get put through to a dodgy call centre trying to convince you to pay some made-up tax sum. Their goal is to steal your card info and drain your bank. This con is getting a lot more frequent around April since it’s when the tax year ends. Just be careful and don’t fall for it. Caller ID usually shows as SCAM HMRC.
