Called by an automated voice, said it was about tax issues. Total scam, probably some fancy tax fraud trick. Stay well clear!

Like some folks here, I got one of those HMRC scam calls. They said my name’s on some kind of fraud list and if I didn’t hit 1 right away, they’d send the cops and I’d be nicked immediately. So far, no flashing blue lights or anything, just a bunch of muppets. Honestly, don’t press any buttons, just dump the call straight away.

Got a call earlier today, and honestly, it was so laughable. Some guy named Mike Smith, but speaking with a Nigerian accent! He claimed there’s a warrant for my arrest unless I let them fix it. When did we even start having lawyers like that around here in the UK? The number that showed up was 0300 200 3747.
