Got a call like that on my mobile just now. I ended the call straight away. Now I'm kinda nervously waiting to see if the Police show up to arrest me.

Today (26/02/2019), I got called twice by a number claiming to be HMRC. When I answered, it was a recorded message, not a real person, saying there was a tax fraud case against me! I was really taken aback by how convincing these scammers are with their fake calls. The message warned that if I didn’t press 1, they'd send a warrant after me. The call came from 0300 200 3439. Honestly, I hope the genuine HMRC catches and deals with these con artists soon.
