Phone number ☎️ 03002003302 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls impersonating HMRC, falsely warning recipients of tax fraud and imminent arrest unless they press a number. Callers often use threatening language and may have hijacked genuine HMRC numbers, contributing to confusion. Victims are advised not to engage, press any buttons, or provide personal information, as these calls aim to cause distress and potentially incur unexpected charges. HMRC confirms they would only contact individuals by letter or prearranged callback, never by cold phone calls demanding payment or personal details. Blocking the number can be tricky since scammers spoof legitimate HMRC numbers. If contacted, it is recommended to report the incident to action fraud and avoid returning the call to prevent further risk.

Got a recorded call supposedly from HMRC saying there's a warrant out for me. Total scam alert! Just one of those annoying robo calls.

Got a robo call from this number saying they were HMRC and there’s some scam involving my name. Then it told me to “press 1” to hear more. I just ended the call straight away! HMRC already have my address, they’ll send a letter if it’s important. I really wish these con artists would find a real job and stop pestering honest folks!

Got a voicemail saying there was a warrant out for my arrest unless I paid up! Really sketchy, so I’ve blocked the number as a scam.

Got a call like that too, saying I had a warrant out for my arrest if I dont pay up. Claimed I owed back taxes. I was about to hand over the cash but thankfully I left my bank card at home. Make sure you inform the police if you get calls like this, they need as many reports as possible to catch these scammers.

Got a call from 03002003302 on the 19th of Nov, but I didn’t pick up. Then today, a different number, 03002003305, rang me. Same story as lots of others, a North American voice claiming to be from HMRC threatening to arrest me. I didn’t press any buttons like they asked.

Totally a scam, they called me at work yesterday, I didn’t press 1 like they told me, good thing or I’d have been ripped off again. Please share this so others don’t fall for it. How come they’re even allowed to do this? It’s ridiculous.

3002003302 watch out, this number is a scam. If you press one, they’ll start charging you. No idea how much it costs but they wouldn’t make this scam just for fun. Keep clear!

These lot are seriously risky. Got a call from this number but just let it ring 'cause I know it’s been going round everywhere - I never pick up if I don’t recognise the number. If it's something important, they’ll leave a message anyway. DO NOT PICK UP - YOU COULD END UP BEING CHARGED JUST FOR ANSWERING. Just block this number right away!!

Got a really creepy robot voice on the phone, sounded like it was mumbling and slurring like someone had a stroke. Said it was HMRC and I had to press 1 or I'd be arrested “soon”. Total scam, no doubt about it, HMRC don’t do calls like that. But I reckon they’ve somehow taken over a real HMRC number, so maybe don’t block it just in case you need to get through for something legit later. Just whatever you do, don’t press anything but hang up straight away.

This happened to me a couple of months back too, got a voicemail from some robotic voice saying I owed taxes and to call them on the number they left. I showed it to a few colleagues before deciding to bin it. Then just yesterday, my phone rang and as soon as I caught that same robot voice, I just hung up straight away. I'm still not sure if I should block the number or just delete the call.

Totally a scam. I reckon they earn cash when you ring them back. No idea exactly how, but it’s definitely not legit.

I got in touch with HMRC myself and they said they know about this scam going round. If you try to block the number, you might end up blocking a legitimate HMRC line as well because the scammers use the 0300 area code to hide their actual number. Don’t ever give out your name or address. HMRC wouldn’t ask for that on the phone and usually they send letters first. Plus, they only call you if you’ve asked them to ring you back.

They claimed to be from HM Revenue and Customs and said the cops were outside an old address of mine with a warrant for my arrest. Supposedly there were mistakes on tax returns I supposedly sent in over the years, and they said I was wanted for tax fraud. Thing is, I’ve never filed any tax return ever. It was an Indian bloke who couldn’t even pronounce my name right. Complete con artists!!!
