Phone number ☎️ 003002003300 👆 is reported as a persistent scam involving automated calls claiming to be from HMRC, threatening arrest or legal action over supposed tax fraud. Got a dodgy call from some automated voice pretending to be HMRC. It said there's supposedly a warrant for my arrest and told me to press 1 to sort out the payment or something. Total scam, obviously.

Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying there was an arrest warrant with a case number, and that I should press 1 to talk to the officer handling it. The person on the line had a thick accent and asked for my name and postcode. When I didn’t give proper info and challenged them, they just hung up. I knew straight away it was a con. After the call, I looked up the number to see where it came from and I’m going to report the whole thing to OFCOM.

Got a call where they told my nana, who picked up, that she was about to get arrested and even gave a case number. We’ve had awful calls like this a few times before, so I’d already told my grandparents to watch out for stuff like this. Glad I did, cos these calls are really intimidating and stressful. Total nonsense. Definitely don’t press any buttons they tell you or call them back - it could get you into a right mess and end up costing loads.

Totally a scam for sure. HMRC always sends letters first, and if anything serious, they’d normally invite you for a chat at the local tax office. They don’t jump straight to threats. When you hear that robotic voice, it’s a big clue it’s dodgy, though sometimes a scammer might call with a real person’s voice. It’s awful how these scammers target folks who might not be able to protect themselves properly. The ones running these scams are just cruel and heartless, no excuses at all.

I just got a phone call from someone saying they were from HMRC, threatening to arrest my husband who’s seriously unwell. There’s a nasty SCAM going round where folks get really frightened by someone pretending to be from HMRC about owing tax money. Never give out your info. Just tell them to get the police involved if they’re serious. My mate got the call and was visibly shaken, so I told her to ask them to send the cops and that we’d handle it ourselves. I ended the call and then reported it straight to HMRC.

Heads up: Getting a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC and threatening legal action? Don’t fall for it. Lately, there’s been a scam going around where a voicemail supposedly from HMRC warns you they’re taking you to court. They tell you to ring 0161 8508494 and press “1” to speak with someone about the supposed case. It looks like the con artists behind this are mainly trying to trick older folk. If you get a message like this, just ignore and don’t call back. For tips on spotting scams and staying safe, check out GOV.UK.

On 31st of July 2018, I got a call from a guy saying he'd take me to court if I didn’t pay some taxes. He was really pushy and kept saying he’d send the police to my house immediately. Total scam! They sound like they’re from HMRC, even the number and email they want you to contact look the part but it’s all fake. Honestly, just hang up as soon as they call, don’t answer back or reply to any messages. Stay safe, these people are nothing but fraudsters.

Someone rang me saying they were from HMRC, saying I owed money and had to pay right away or I'd get into trouble with the courts and have to pay legal fees. They also threatened me with jail time and deportation, which was really stressful. At first, they said the line was breaking up, then called again from a number that looked like it was actually from HMRC. Very dodgy and quite scary stuff.

This morning, around 9 o’clock on 5/7/18, I got a call from someone who said his name was Christopher Salvador. He claimed to be from HMRC and told me to have my lawyer ready because there were supposed charges. When I asked who he wanted to speak with, he gave a totally different first name. I mentioned the mistake, and then he said he wouldn’t be contacting me anymore.
