Definite scam, just a pretend housing company trying to con people. Stay clear!

I received a call claiming that I had an outstanding debt with HMC, threatening me with arrest if I didn't press 1 to connect with an advisor. Strangely enough, I got a call from a very similar number just the day prior, warning me that they would be taking legal action unless I settled my payment. After that, they abruptly disconnected! Quite suspicious, I must say!

Didn’t pick up, but it went straight to my voicemail where a message said I’d be arrested if I didn’t press 1. Weird and a bit scary!

I just got a call that looked like it was from HM Revenue, but it was definitely a scam. They tried to trick me with some spoofed number. Watch out, it's a clever fake!

Today, I received a rather unsettling voicemail from this number. The voice, sounding rather mechanical and severe, proclaimed: "A warrant is currently active against you, and an arrest will ensue shortly." This was at 13:39 on Monday, the 22nd of April, 2019. The call only came through once, and I don't recall having any prior interactions with this number. It appeared to be a recorded message that commenced just prior to the voicemail system kicking in. It certainly has the hallmarks of a scam, as that tone is all too familiar from similar situations I've encountered before, but I can't quite put my finger on where I've heard it. I don't have much more to add, but I would greatly appreciate it if you could investigate this matter. Thank you kindly!

Has anyone else got a clue who this is? I didn’t pick up, so no idea who was ringing.

I had the same thing happen, seems like scammers to me. The call came from a number that was quite close to mine.

Got a call from some lot pretending to be from the tax agency, tried to scam an older couple. It was on a bank holiday too, which is a dead giveaway - there’s no way they’d be open then. Really shady behaviour.

Got a call from a recorded voice warning me I’d be arrested by HMRC soon if I didn’t hit 1. Total scam, obviously auto-dialled!

Received a call purporting to be from the HMRC tax office. It insisted that failure to either press 1 or hang up would lead to an arrest. Quite alarming, really!

I got a call from this number and it was a recorded message telling me I’d be arrested if I didn’t press 1 to talk to my case officer. I just told them to come and try it if they were so sure. Then the line just went dead on me.
