I got a call from a number claiming to be HMRC, with an automated voice telling me I’d be arrested if I didn’t answer about some tax fraud on my self assessment. Thing is, I’ve never been self employed, so I called their bluff and said it sounded like a scam, then they just hung up. Definitely dodgy, and they mentioned sending loads of letters, but I never received any. Would advise blocking this number, it’s a total scam.

Got a call from an automated voice telling me to press 1 to talk to HMRC about some fraud they said was done in my name. I didn't think it was legit so I just let it ring out.
