Got a robo call from 03002002908 saying it was HMRC and that there’s a fake claim made using my name. They told me to push some buttons on my phone to sort it out. I didn’t hang about, ended the call straight away, then phoned up HMRC myself to check. Turns out it’s a scam for sure. That’s not their number and they never reach out like this.

Got a recorded call claiming to be from HMRC, saying there’s some fraud case against me. They warned if I didn’t get through to them, they’d issue a warrant. Felt totally dodgy to me.

Received an automated call threatening that if I didn’t press 1, a warrant for my arrest would be issued. Quite alarming, to say the least. They’re masquerading as HMRC. Number was 0300 200 2908.

Just got a weird automated call from 03002002908 saying it was HMRC and that there was some fake claim made in my name. They asked me to press some buttons to sort it out. I hung up straight away and later contacted HMRC myself - turns out it was a scam. That number’s nothing to do with them and they’d never call like that.

SCAM ALERT! Got an automated call about half an hour ago saying I was going to be arrested over some fraud issue which really freaked me out. I decided to call HMRC myself to check and reported the number through their official site. They confirmed they never get in touch like that and prefer to use letters instead. They’re passing the info on to their cyber team to try and shut down this number. I was also warned I might get another call from these scammers, so watch out. Number’s blocked now.
