Got a voicemail warning me to press one or face an immediate arrest warrant. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a voicemail saying to press one or a warrant’s been put out for me - honestly, really freaked me out!

Got a call from 03002002902 claiming to be from HMRC, said I was under tax evasion investigation and to press 1 or risk being arrested in a month. Obviously a scam, I hung up and blocked the number. This came through on a Friday afternoon, definitely outside normal working hours for any proper HMRC office.

Got a call from 03002002902 just before 7pm yesterday - again! Really annoying, so I’ve blocked the number now. Feels kinda sketchy, might even be harassment.

I noticed they called me a few times from numbers that only differ by the last two digits, something like 05 at the end. I didn’t pick up and had a quick look here first - definitely best not to answer.

So, just at 6.28pm on Friday 5th April, my dinner got rudely interrupted, cheers for that! Some automated bloke with a British accent claimed to be from HMRC. I’d already got the number stuck in my head and knew straight away who it was as soon as I answered. I hung up pretty much straight away. Blocked the number now.

If I don’t pick up, it’s just dead silence.

For about three weeks now, this number keeps ringing my mobile. Each time they hang up without leaving any voicemail. I eventually picked up once and heard a recorded message claiming I was linked to an HMRC fraud investigation and asked me to press 1 to speak to someone. Of course, I didn’t press anything. Instead, I got in touch with HMRC directly to check if the call was genuine. They confirmed it was a scam, so I was right to just ignore it!

I got a recorded voice warning me that there's some fraud case on my name and if I don't hit 1, HMRC’s gonna send a warrant after me. Be careful and tell others about this!

There was nothing but silence at first, then out of nowhere a robotic voice claimed to be from HMRC. The number was close to what HMRC usually uses, but not exactly the same. Sounds like one of those dodgy scams, especially since there's been a rise in these around the new tax year.

My phone buzzed with a call, but I didn’t pick up. No voicemail either, so I have no idea who it was.
