Got a call from someone claiming to be HMRC saying I owed money and had to pay up immediately or face court action. I only pressed 1 because I’d been dealing with HMRC online earlier that day and figured it might’ve been them checking something. But when they got aggressive, I just hung up. Bit rude if you ask me. I picked up and the voicemail said it was HMRC, claiming there’s some fraud case against me. It asked me to press 1, so I did, then a person replied but with an accent and couldn’t really give me any details. The number was 03002002878.
