While I was talking to my sister, a guy from 'Money Review' abruptly ended our call so his could come through. I had no option but to pick up. He started going on about my supposed debts, which I quickly denied and told him to stop. It's ridiculous how these calls can interrupt genuine conversations like that just to get your attention. I really hope something's done to stop this happening again. Cheers.

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was from some debt help service and could sort me out. Told him I was gonna record the call which seemed to annoy him, and he just ended it. Seems like the recording bit usually scares them off!

Got a call from some debt collectors asking what kind of debt I owed. I was so fed up with these calls I just started messing with them, told the bloke I owed millions. He asked which bank and I said all the major ones. Then he just hung up on me. Guess he wasn’t interested in helping after all. What a bunch of muppets 🤣. Blocked the number straight away, no more bother 😂.

So this lad "Richard Barker" rings up, calls from India but it shows as if hes calling from Cardiff. He says he’s with some financial claims firm based in Manchester. Bit sneaky but they apparently grab our numbers from business databases.

I got a call from someone claiming to be with "Money Review," telling me about a government scheme to wipe out debt. I mentioned I had a credit card balance (even though I pay it off fully every month). He said I’d qualify for debt relief only if I owed money elsewhere too. He started listing all sorts of companies I might owe, rattling off at least 20 names, clearly desperate to find something so he’d get his commission. He promised to call back in a couple of days in case I remembered any other debts. He also gave me a phone number to ring (44 2922460180), which was obviously from an international call centre. If I found another debt, he said he’d connect me with a “senior financial advisor” based in Manchester. It’s not the first time I’ve had overseas calls like this trying to link me to so-called financial firms in Manchester. What’s with Manchester anyway? Has it suddenly become the UK’s finance hub?

Fed up with getting these calls, they’ve been going on for two days straight. I found a site through Ofcom about nuisance calls and there’s a firm that blocks them on your mobile and landline at no cost. I’m gonna try it out, can’t be any worse than the lot who’ve been ringing me.

I get loads of annoying spam calls like this all the time, and they really wind me up. I usually just mess about and say silly things to them because frankly, these callers must be daft. While I was at nursery, they phoned me five times today, and honestly, I’ve had it. I was this close to smashing my old phone just to stop them once and for all.
