I got a call from 02920958712 on the 7th of March 2022 around 5:26pm but they didn't leave any voicemail. I found out who it was by calling 1471. Seems like it could be one of those scam calls.

I’ve had this number ringing for a couple of days now, but every time I pick up it just hangs up straight away. Yeah, that one’s definitely going on my blocked list.

I've been getting calls from this number on my BT 1572 since I blocked it on my landline. They keep leaving the same voicemail, something like "Attempted to reach you, will call back tomorrow." I reckon it's probably Easy Life behind it.

I gave this number a ring back since I've got Dom & Gen cover and the voicemail mentioned something about "personal recruitment outsourcing." Sounds like a fancy way of saying "Call Centre" to me? Pretty dodgy if you ask!

Got a call from a woman yesterday who sounded way more Indian than Welsh. She was asking for me by name, but I had no clue what she wanted. After a bit, I figured it was some sort of scam, so I just told her to get lost.

Got one of those annoying messages again today, from a different number though. It's that English lady's voicemail saying "I will endeavour to call tomorrow" or something like that. Spam for sure. Blocked this number too.

I enquired about their affiliation, and they mentioned they were from a domestic appliance company, claiming I had at least a television insured with them. However, that wasn't the case, so I mentioned I ought to update my records. As soon as I pressed for further details, they abruptly hung up. Quite unprofessional, if you ask me!

I got a call from 02920958712 on 7th March at about 1.26pm but didn’t pick up. They left a message like the ones I've reported before, saying they’d call back the next day. It’s clear this recording gets passed around to different numbers because I’ve heard the exact same voice and script loads of times already, all sounding like a scam.

Got a call from some bloke trying to sell home appliance insurance. He asked if all our gear was alright, just out of the blue. We don’t have any cover like that and definitely wouldn’t buy something like this just through a phone call! Feels like a dodgy scam to me.

Beware of people trying to sell you insurance for your home appliances, sounds like a scam to me. They call out of the blue and push you to sign up for cover you don't really need. Definitely not legit.

Got a call from someone saying they were from D&G Appliance Care. She told me some good news about our insurance premium dropping since we hadn’t made any claims this year. I asked her what appliances she had on record for us, and the info was all incorrect. Once she realised she had the wrong details, she just ended the call. Definitely felt like a scam!

I've been plagued by a relentless series of phone calls, at least two times a week, all peddling some sort of domestic appliance insurance scam. The chap on the line is fiercely pushy, completely disregarding my repeated assertions that I’ve never signed up for extended coverage. It’s infuriating! Honestly, I ended up terminating the call mid-sentence to escape the irritation!

Got a call from someone claiming to be my home appliance insurer, said they’d give me 3 years cover for the price of 2 since we supposedly hadn’t made any claims in the past year. Thing is, we did claim recently. Then she started asking for my bank info. I told her we already pay by direct debit, so they should have that on file. She kept insisting though. I wasn’t feeling it and ended the call pretty quickly. Looks like a total scam to me!

I received a rather dubious call from some scammers who falsely claimed that we were selected for a discount on our home appliance insurance renewal - which, mind you, we don’t even possess! It was quite amusing, really, as they didn’t have a clue about the specific brands or models of our appliances that they were allegedly insuring. When I asked them to provide their details for further investigation, they promptly cut the line. Quite telling, don’t you think?

Sure, it's alright to grumble about these scam calls or just slap on a block, but how about actually taking some action? There's a post down below with all the details. It does take a bit of your time, maybe half an hour, but the reply you get from your MP can be really revealing. You have to clearly explain the issue and ask questions about the fake, spoofed UK landline numbers that these crooks use. Keep in mind - these fraudsters keep doing this because they manage to trick vulnerable folks and steal from them. We all need to step up and demand proper measures against these scammers.

What a bunch of nasty people, trying to pressure elderly folks into paying for stuff they have no use for. I gave the call to my grandson, who asked them nicely to send the details in writing, but they just ignored him and said they weren’t obliged to listen since he didn’t have power of attorney. I keep getting calls from this number, along with a few others they use, quite regularly during the week, despite my repeated refusals to sign up for their insurance. They claim to represent a company called Domestic Appliances and insist that I have a policy with them that's about to run out, offering me a discount to renew it. Even when I explain that I don’t have any policy with them at all, they stubbornly stick to their routine and try to pressure me into agreeing. During my most recent conversation, I escalated it to a manager, who shockingly informed me that he wasn’t permitted to disclose the company registration number and couldn’t provide my policy number as it had “been lost." When I challenged him on this point, he claimed that policy numbers are erased once the policy expires, even though my supposed "policy" had not yet lapsed. It's completely obvious that this is a scam.

I'm quite wary of this call I received. The chap claimed they could lower my insurance cost for my household appliances, rather than hike it up, but it turns out he's not affiliated with my actual insurance provider. When I pressed for details about what they'd be covering, he was rather vague. He did mention they collaborate with my insurer, but that sounds a bit dodgy to me. I've had a few similar calls recently, which makes me even more sceptical.

I received a call purporting to be from my home appliance insurance, asking for my bank details. This was rather odd considering we're already on a direct debit, so the genuine provider would surely have that information on file. When I pressed them for clarity, they rang back multiple times, becoming increasingly patronising with each attempt. Got a call earlier from 02920958712. They kept going on about insurance stuff and said they needed extra info to 'update their files'. The whole talk dragged on and felt like they were trying to fish out my account details, which they should already have. Smelt fishy to me, so I just hung up.

Got a call from 02920958712, they were trying to find out who lives here, but I reckon it’s just a scam from someone in Cardiff. Definitely be careful!

Got a bunch of calls from them, like 11 in total today. Decided not to pick up after seeing loads of bad reviews about bank scams and stuff. Have already alerted both O2 and the Ofcom TPS about it. Pretty much classic scammer behaviour.

Got a call from this number today and they wanted to speak to me by name. The moment my wife said it wasn’t me, they just hung up straight away.

I got a call regarding appliance insurance, they said they were based in Brighton but the phone number they used wasn’t actually from Brighton. Bit weird really.

Just got a call from BSI - electrical solutions, another one of those marketing calls. I reckon they found my number online somewhere.
