Received a call earlier today, and the person on the other end seemed quite friendly at first. However, when I inquired about their identity, they became quite agitated and attempted to extract further details from me. I made it abundantly clear that I wasn’t interested and told them where to stick it! I have a strong suspicion this was a dodgy cold caller. Do exercise caution when dealing with this number!

Got a call from some bloke in a loud call centre, asking if I fancied upgrading my mobile. I told him no, and then he kept asking me why, but couldn't really catch what he was saying because it was so noisy. So, I just ended up hanging up.

Got a call from 028 4466 6027, this bloke with an Indian accent saying he’s from O2. He was trying to convince me I'll get 30% off my next couple of bills. Problem is, I don’t even use O2! When I asked him what name he had on his form, he just said "yours". I asked again what that meant and then, just like that, he hung up on me. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call from 028 4466 6027 and it was a total scam. Some Asian woman was pretending to be from a mobile network, saying they have a deal for a new phone with free unlimited calls, texts and Wi-Fi for just £28 a month over 6 months. They wanted my bank details but wouldn’t actually tell me which company they were from. Never trust this number, it’s definitely a scam!

A couple of posts down explain how you can do your bit to help put an end to these frauds and why just blocking numbers won't really solve the problem. It doesn’t take any longer to report these calls than to leave a comment here. While results won’t show up overnight, the police still don’t fully grasp how widespread this kind of crime is or the newest tricks they’re using. If everyone getting these calls and texts doesn’t bother to report them or complain to their local MP, nothing will change to stop these con artists who try to steal from us, and sadly, often manage to.

Be careful with MIDASGLOBE, they mess around with you. At the start, they get you all excited by saying you’ve won a big prize, but then after a bit, they start asking for more cash. Not something I’d trust at all.

Got a really annoying call from someone at Yell.com today. The guy got quite frustrated when I said no to coughing up £49 a month to advertise my business with them.
