The woman on the line asked for my bank info, but when I asked her to confirm who she was, the call just dropped. Pretty sure it’s a scam, so be careful and don’t share any personal stuff with them.

Just got a call from someone saying they were calling from Currys mobile about some iPhone contract. Pretty sure Currys don’t actually do contracts for phones though, so seems fishy to me.

A couple comments down explain how you can help put an end to these scams and why just blocking might not do the trick. Reporting takes hardly any longer than sharing a post here. It won’t fix things overnight, but right now the police haven’t got a clue about the scale of these scams or the newest dodgy attempts. If we all keep quiet and don’t report or have a word with our MPs, these con artists will keep getting away with it.

Typical behaviour, the call hangs up as soon as it reaches voicemail. They called my mobile but I’ve no idea who they are or why they'd be ringing from Northern Ireland. After checking the reviews here, I’m definitely blocking the number now.
