Got two calls today from 02840 041110. Both times it was a recorded message with a lady’s voice saying she was from HMRC and there was a warrant out for my arrest over unpaid tax. They gave a random looking case number and told me to press 1. Naturally I didn’t press anything and never would respond to calls like that. It’s a classic scam. I strongly recommend blocking this number immediately-it's a total scam. Honestly, the audacity of these people! They start off speaking English, then suddenly switch to some American chap claiming there’s an arrest warrant out for you. But when you actually connect, it turns out to be some bloke from Pakistan who claims he knows nothing about it. Absolutely ridiculous! I've already blocked it, for good measure.

Last Friday evening, my elderly mother received a rather alarming call claiming she had outstanding tax payments that dated all the way back from 1958 to 1988. They went so far as to say that a warrant for her arrest was out, which is absolutely ludicrous given her age-she’s 80, for goodness' sake! Just imagine the distress this could have caused! Thankfully, she didn’t give any of her card details and wisely asked for written confirmation. He asked for my name, which I gave, but as soon as I told him, he cut me off. Received a rather dodgy phone call the other day, sounding quite automated. They were claiming it was a last chance to settle an outstanding payment. Absolute scam!

Got a call today, usually I don’t answer unknown numbers. Thought I’d find out who it was, and now I do.

Got a call from "Call Guardian", but went straight to answerphone with no message left. Honestly, this number should just be removed, and whoever’s running it as well.
