Got two calls over the last couple days, both saying they were from my bank. They told me payments had gone through to Amazon and some overseas transfer. I quickly ended the call and blocked their number. These scammers really don’t quit. Lucky for me, there’s nothing showing on my bank statements. Honestly, I wonder why BT doesn’t just shut them down. Not everyone older is as clued up as I am. Poor things, hope they stay safe.

So yesterday I got a call from someone speaking with an Indian accent, and the phone line was all crackly. They said my phone had been reported for crackling and offered to help fix it. I just hung up and phoned a family member to check - my line was perfectly fine. Then today at 8.40am, the same number called again, but it stopped ringing as soon as my answerphone picked up. Strange!

Got a call from this number just after 8 am today, but luckily it didn’t get past our voicemail system - guess they weren’t that interested in us and just went off to bother someone else. These types of calls are so annoying and I honestly think there should be a way to put an end to all this pestering. Got a call early this morning around 7:15 from someone saying he was Adam with BT Openreach. He told me there was an issue with my router, but he spoke with a heavy Indian accent. When he used the term "Clsid" to prove he was from BT, I quickly googled it and read out the scam warnings to him. The call ended pretty quickly after that.
