Got a ring earlier from a woman with an Asian accent claiming there was a problem with my PC, which is odd because I don't even have one. She kept saying there was a dodgy download on my machine and I needed to turn it on so she could fix it for me. When I told her I didn’t have a computer, she replied “Well, since you’re online, you must have one!” I hung up, looked up the number and found this site with info about it. Pretty dodgy call if you ask me.

Just got a recorded message sayin £600 was sent abroad from my bank account like 15 minutes ago and I had to press 1 if I wanted to approve it. If you wanna speak to whoever left the message, press 0. Bit fishy if you ask me.

Got two calls on 20th August. The first was about 4.19pm, but it just went to answerphone and they ended the call straight away. Then they rang again a minute later, saying they were doing a survey and asked if they were talking to me. I said yes, then they asked if my address was a certain place. I told them that address doesn’t exist anymore. After that, they went quiet and dropped the call. Definitely scammers. I've blocked the number now.

I got a call from some guy claiming there was an issue with my computer. I told him straight up he just found my name in some directory and didn’t know a thing about me or if I even owned a computer. Seemed like a total scam attempt. Honestly, he should be looking for a real job instead of wasting time. While I was speaking, he kept interrupting me, repeating my first name like I was some stubborn kid or something. I just hung up on him.

Some bloke called saying he had info on my computer and claimed he was from "technical support". I asked him, "Which one exactly?" and he just said "your laptop or desktop". Then I asked what info he had about my machine and got the same vague answer. When I pressed again, he got annoyed and insisted he was with Microsoft, accusing me of not understanding. I told him flat out that’s rubbish because Microsoft don’t ring out of nowhere claiming to have details on people’s computers! He got louder and tried to talk over me but I just raised my voice right back, calling him out as a scammer and telling him to go find a real job. Honestly, mess with them a bit! Show them you’re not scared - maybe it’ll make them think twice. These con artists hide behind their screens because they’re too scared to face any pushback.

Got a call from some "Tech Support" claiming my computer was full of errors whenever I went online. It was a bloke with a strong East Asian accent. I just put my TV on loud for him to listen to, and eventually, he hung up the phone.

Some bloke rang claiming to be from BT OpenReach, saying there was an issue with my phone line. I hadn’t noticed any problems, nor had I reported anything. He insisted on hooking up a BT server to my laptop to run some diagnostics. I told him that sounded risky and asked for his phone number so I could ring back. He said he got why I was wary but claimed that was the only way to find the fault.

Got a call from an Asian lady while I was at my dad’s place, he’s 95. I answered because he wasn’t around. She claimed there was some issue with a computer download. somebody rang me claiming they were from switch & save working with openreach. he said he could help cut costs on our broadband and line rental and asked how much we were currently paying. i questioned him about where he was calling from, and he said coventry. when i pointed out the number didn’t look like a coventry one, he kept insisting their office was there. after pressing him more, he finally said he was actually calling from somewhere in se asia but still claimed to be based in coventry! at that point i just ended the call.
