When I mentioned that the person responsible for the bills was unavailable, she insisted on a callback and wanted to know a suitable time. Got a call from a Coventry number around 2 in the afternoon, but when I answered, no one spoke. These silent calls are so frustrating. Even though I’ve signed up to block sales calls, BT seems to let this kind of rubbish go on without any consequences. All through April, I've been getting tons of calls from numbers starting with 02476, which is supposed to be from Coventry. But I reckon they're coming from places like Pakistan or India. Whenever I try to call back, it just says the number isn’t recognised and they never leave a message. Sounds like a total scam to me. Haven’t had these kinds of nuisance calls in ages, but these pesky lot seem to be back in full force right now.

Some woman called me, said her name was Rose and was talking about my phone line rental. She claimed it was about £18 and was going to increase in May, but she could reduce it to about £14 for me. She guessed my line rental was with Virgin Media, but I told her it wasn’t. Then she asked if it was with Sky, and when I said she should already know since she was the one calling, she just said "Alright, thanks, goodbye." Definitely sounded like a scam to me.
