My other half got a call from this number around 9 in the evening. The bloke claimed he was from Blue Whale Holdings and that someone had signed up with them but hadn't used the account yet. When my partner told him he sounded like a scammer, the caller went on to tell him to "smother his privates in peanut butter and lick it off" and then just hung up. Honestly, the weirdest rude comment I’ve ever heard - especially since my partner can’t stand peanut butter!

Got a call from someone with an Indian accent, said his name was Jason Morris from BT, claiming there were issues with my internet. He gave an old BT address on 81 Newgate Street (they’ve moved) and a postcode RA61 0WG, which isn’t even real anymore. The number he called from was 02084928237. Definitely a scam! He threatened to cut my internet off straight away if I didn’t ring back to sort it out. Total SCAM - BEWARE!

Some bloke called saying he was from Virgin's IT team, claiming he was ringing to fix issues with my internet and hub. (I had indeed been having problems with my Virgin broadband and spoke to them just a few days before). He then asked me to log into my bank account so he could transfer £404 compensation that Virgin supposedly owed me due to the trouble. When I said no, he got really cross - I ended up just hanging up.

02084464104 Got a recorded call from someone saying they were from ‘our bank’ but never mentioned which one, like a legit bank would leave a message? They said I had to verify some recent transactions, £300 from Amazon and £1030 from PayPal, and told me to ring back straight away to sort it out - total SCAMMERS! It’s awful how they prey on vulnerable folks, honestly no ethics at all, just rotten criminals.

I’m not sure who was trying to reach me on my mobile, but the caller ID showed a London location with the number 02084 719637. I answered thinking it could be a shop I was in contact with or maybe family, but no one spoke! When I called back, a BT automated message said the number wasn’t valid.

No idea who that was but I instantly knew it was a scam. She spoke with a sort of Thai accent. Claimed my internet wasn’t safe and that she wanted to help me fix it. She kept asking details about my internet so I just mess with her and said mine was a “vibrator”. I've been receiving persistent calls from this number, although the last part varies with each attempt. They assert they're from the technical support team at Virgin Media. On Sunday 11/04/20 at 08:29, I got a dodgy recorded call pretending to be from Amazon Prime saying my subscription was ending and to press 1 to talk to a manager.
