I got a call from someone claiming to be with Carphone Warehouse. They somehow knew loads about mine and my husband's phones, like the exact make, model, and even the colour. They tried to sell us a deal that sounded alright. When we asked them to ring back later, they said they would. But then I rang ID Mobile and Carphone Warehouse myself and neither said they’d made any calls to us today. Bit strange if you ask me.

I was shocked to see this caller knew so much about me just from the ID mobile app - my full name, email, where I live, even what phone I use and the plan I’m on! How do they even get all that info?

I told them to say a bit of the email first so I could confirm the rest, but they wouldn't do it. So I just ended the call. They also mentioned my contract was about to end, which felt weird because I'm actually with ID, not Carphone Warehouse. They were quite polite though.

Not really sure whether to trust this call cause the guy’s voice sounds a bit dodgy, like one of those scammers. When I answered, he was asking for someone in the family by name which felt off. It’s been ringing a couple of times from this number, but most times I just let it go straight to voicemail or blocked it since it flagged as spam. What’s weird is, if it was actually a phone dealer, wouldn’t they have other numbers to call instead of bugging the same one again? They just rang again, so that’s now the eighth time. Bit suspicious if you ask me.

I’m pretty sure this number is trying to scam people. From what I’ve read in the comments, they claim they're from all sorts of companies - for me it was ID, for others, Curry's or something else. He mentioned my contract was finishing soon yet still wanted my personal info and promised a new phone with the same plan at a cheaper price. Sounds like he was just setting me up to get my bank details. Luckily, the mate I was chatting with told me to hang up immediately because it seemed dodgy.

UNBELIEVABLE! REPORTED TO THE AUTHORITIES!

I’ve just encountered this disturbing group of individuals. I’m in the midst of making a statement to the police. They had the audacity to contact my 14-year-old daughter, attempting to manipulate her into producing some vile images in exchange for a share of profits from their “members” - the exact terminology they used. After she relayed this distressing conversation, I took the phone to confront the caller. I made it abundantly clear that she is a minor, and their response? “We’re aware. We’re not bothered, and we possess your personal information - go ahead to the police, we’ll come after you and your daughter.”

I’m not sure if anyone else has faced this horror, but I sincerely hope these vile creatures are locked away for eternity. Absolute filth of society!
