Got a call from 02081610214 earlier. The bloke said his name was Joseph and actually had my surname and address right, which freaked me out. He started by telling me he was ringing about my electricity and appliance insurance. First, he mentioned their helpline had a new number, 0800 800 100, but then he switched and said my policy was up for renewal soon and asked for my bank sort code. I didn’t trust it at all, so I just hung up - seemed like one of those dodgy scams to me.

I keep getting calls from 02081610214 pretty much every couple of days but they never say anything or leave a voicemail. It's happened a bunch of times now.

This number 02081610214 has been ringing me pretty much every day recently. I’ve stopped picking up and just let it go to voicemail, but they never bother to leave anything. Think I’ll just block it for good. A while back I got a dodgy call from a mobile too. When I answered, it was some automated voice pretending to be BT, saying my IP had weird hacking stuff going on and they’d cut off my internet in a day. It told me to press 1 to talk to someone, but I didn’t do it - apparently pressing 1 redirects you to a premium rate line. Total scam if you ask me.

Got a call from someone claiming to want to renew my plumbing and drainage insurance for our property. They knew my name and the address, even said my brother gave them my number. Then they asked for my bank card details and expiry date to set it up, saying I was the one who pays the bills. Strange, since we don’t even have any plumbing or drainage cover! Hung up straight away. Definitely felt like a scam.

Honestly, I have no clue who called me but they came off so rude and clueless, probably didn’t have much schooling. I tried to say hi and before I could even get a word in, they just cut me off and hung up. What’s the use in that? Just a total waste of time if you ask me. I reckon it’s some kinda scam. My tip? Don’t buy stuff from calls you didn’t make yourself. Just some pointless person looking to bother others for no good reason.
