I got an email that looked like an invoice from PayPal, but it was totally fake. The details were all changed around and there was a dodgy phone number to ring to "cancel" something I never even bought. When I called, they tried to get me to install some weird remote desktop software to access my computer info. Just giving a heads up here, this is a proper scam. BEWARE!!

Here we go again with the same old scam. Now they’re saying ‘Your electric bill is way too high’. I told them I’m not interested and to take me off their call list. Guess what? They called me right back after just half a minute. Ridiculous.

I wouldn’t have thought La Salle Education would stoop to this, especially since they seem pretty legit. But I’ve had six calls from them in just three days - proper spammy behaviour.

Got a call from this number and the guy on the line claimed to be from 3 network, but his accent was pretty thick. He hung up after a bit and then rang back but no one answered. Feels a bit dodgy, like a scam or some phishing attempt?

Got a call from some scammer claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse, trying to convince me they could sort a better deal on my phone. They said I was paying £6 a month for an S21 Ultra and offered a "better" price. When I told them Carphone Warehouse actually closed down last year, the person started calling me names and shouting about wanting my money and bank details before abruptly hanging up. Absolute muppets making these calls.

## DEFINITELY A SCAM ## I called back a VOIP number starting with 0330, and the bloke was happy to port that number straight to my mobile. Just so you know, UK mobiles always start with 07. He didn’t really seem to know what he was on about and kept going on and on. At one point, he offered to email me info about his “company.” Like I’d ever give my personal info to some random person ringing me up out of nowhere. No chance!

I got a call from a guy with an Indian accent claiming he was calling on behalf of Carphone Warehouse about some kind of offer. When I told him to take me off their list, he just cut the call straight away.

Received a call from 020 8144 0478 claiming to be Carphone Warehouse with a deal offer. They asked which phone I had, and I said an iPhone 14 even tho it hasn’t been released yet. They actually believed me and said they could sort out a better deal. Then I told them I’m a cop and needed to get back to duty, and they suddenly got all flustered. Pretty obvious it was a scam.

Got a call from someone pretending to be Carphone Warehouse. I asked them where they were calling from and they gave the address 1 Portal Way, London, W3 RS. That’s actually a real Carphone Warehouse location, so don’t get tricked! These lot are definitely scammers, but they seem prepared if you start asking loads of questions. My advice? Don’t fall for their “offers” and just tell them to stop calling by insisting they erase your details under GDPR rules.

Today, I got three calls from people claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. I ended up showing the email they sent me to the actual staff at Carphone Warehouse, and they told me to report it to the police. Honestly, what a load of scoundrels!
