Someone said they were from Carphone Warehouse trying to get me to sign up for a contract. They wouldn’t stop banging on about contracts and told me to look up the number online. Asked for me and my partner’s full names and birthdates. Nope, not interested at all.

Had a call from Sarah claiming to be from Car Phone Warehouse. I told her I was about to head to work and it wasn’t a great moment, but she just hung up on me. This ain’t the first time either. I looked them up and pretty sure it’s a scam. Best just to block them - proper rude and just want your cash. She sounded like she had a Filipino accent too.

I just received a call from someone using this number, claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse. They tried to entice me with an unbelievable offer, but I quickly realised that it’s nothing more than a ruse. These scammers appear to be based out of India!

Some bloke named Romeo rang claiming to be from Amazon, saying my dad’s account got hacked and a bunch of fake accounts were made to buy stuff worth about £960. He said he was sorting out refunds but then asked for my dad’s bank details and even wanted to get into his computer remotely!!!

Mine was a bit different number: 020 8144 7845, but from what I’m seeing here, it’s definitely the same kind of scam. Some bloke rang saying he was from the Motor Insurance Investigations team about an accident I supposedly had years ago! I told him if it was so urgent he should send a letter, not keep calling me. Then he started shouting! I just hung up. He called back again! Saying I HAD to stay on the line or he’d cancel my insurance! I hung up once more and blocked the number. Honestly, I can’t believe anyone falls for these muppets!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Carphone Warehouse saying they could get me an iPhone 8 with unlimited everything for £30 a month (I’ve never had any dealings with them before). I asked for the details to be sent by email. The message ended up in my spam folder and was from an odd email address "[email protected][###]". Some bloke rang me claiming I’d got approved for a loan. I told him I wasn’t bothered and asked him to remove my number from their list. Then he said I’d be charged £50 a month for 3 months just for cancelling! After that, he said I could have a £1000 loan that’d show up in my account in 10 to 15 minutes, but I’d need to pay £75 as ‘insurance’. I told him where to go. Total scam!

I just got a call from this number and the bloke on the other end was shockingly rude and abusive. He asked for me and claimed to be ringing from some loan company. When I started saying I wasn’t interested, he went off calling me a load of nasty names. Avoid picking up! This number belongs to a so-called loan firm calling themselves Cobra Loan. They’ll try to coax you into paying funds towards a loan using a Paysafe PIN. Just steer clear of it!

Got a call from these people asking me to pay £250 with a paysafe card to get a £2,500 cheque for some ppi. They said a woman would come round to my place later today. The number showed up as 02081440454 and they claimed to be a government agency.

Some bloody scam firm calling themselves Cobra Loans rang me up. They trick you out of your cash. I thought I was dealing with a bloke called Manjeet Singh who said I was approved for £2000, paying back £85 a month. But first, I had to put in the money via a paysafe voucher and they promised the cash would be in my account within fifteen mins. Half an hour later I got another call saying they couldn't transfer it and I needed to pay £140 for UK tax before they'd send the loan and supposedly give me a refund. Such a stupid error on my part, watch out folks :(
