So this person told me to look up County Court London and then claimed the number 0300 123 5577 was legit. They even somehow got the phone to ring me from that exact number to prove they were real. Total scam alert! The bloke I spoke to was obviously clueless, didn’t know anything about me, and completely ignored doing any kind of verification. Honestly, it’s a dodgy trick that I reckon a lot of folks could easily get caught out by!

Like others have said, this is totally a scam! It starts off with this scary message about "a criminal investigation for unpaid taxes" but honestly, I’m a full-time student with no income, so no tax paid at all! You'd expect them to do a bit of homework before trying this stuff! But seriously, if it wasn’t for my situation and looking this up online, I’d have been proper stressed out. These dodgy calls really should be reported and put to an end.

Got a call from a 6602 number today and it freaked me out a bit since I’m in the middle of sorting out a Tax Credits thing with the DWP about an alleged overpayment. My heart just about jumped out my chest! The automated voice said there was some criminal investigation going on for unpaid taxes or fraud and that there’s an arrest warrant out for me, then told me to press 1 if I wanted more info. I wasn’t having any of it and just hung up. I’ll ring the DWP or Tax Credits myself to check everything properly, cheers!
