So this woman rings up saying I was in some sort of accident. I told her yeah, that happened but it was sorted over a year ago, and I didn’t need their help for it. Then some bloke jumps on the line, starting the same nonsense. When I cut him off saying I wasn’t interested, he told me to shut up and listen. Got proper rude and then just dropped the call. Complete muppets. I’ve blocked the number now, but seriously, why do we have to keep blocking these pests? Shouldn’t someone be cracking down on them for good?

020 7946 2005 - Annoying and quite upsetting!! They ring not asking, but telling you that you’ve recently been in an accident. Like the person who commented on 15 July, these calls are really insensitive and no amount of cash can undo the pain of losing someone or damage to your health. They also say they’ll remove you from their calling list - but when will that actually happen?? Seriously, these calls need to be blocked.

I got a call from a woman who didn’t sound like she was from London but her accent was definitely English. She was asking about a car crash I was in not long ago. I told her I’d actually had an accident in April this year and was expecting a call about a medical check-up. Then I asked her where she found my number and she just hung up on me, lol.

They never even checked if it was actually me! Right off the bat, they said they'd heard I was in a car crash in the past 3 years. I told them I have no idea where they got my number from and I don’t reckon they’re doing their job right coz I don’t have a driving licence and I’ve never been in any accident. Got a recorded message asking if I’d been in a car crash and to press 1 to speak to someone about making a claim. Thing is, I don’t even drive and the last time I was in an accident was when I was a kid, about seven. That call just dragged up awful memories of a family tragedy where someone close to me died because of a drink-driving hit and run involving our car. I was lucky to get away with just a few bruises but the emotional scars are still there. Didn’t need that call this morning at all. Blocked and deleted the number - would recommend you do the same.

Some woman called me asking me to verify if I was in a crash and that I wasn’t at fault. Such a rubbish sales pitch - they told the exact same story to my wife, who was absolutely distraught and crying at home. I was away on a business trip with the car and nobody else was with me. She thought I’d been in an accident and was worried sick since I couldn’t answer my phone. If I could track down who these people are, I’d take legal action against them for causing that stress.
