Initially, a lady contacted me, stating that I had been involved in an accident. I acknowledged the incident but explained that everything had been resolved 13 months ago without any assistance from them. Subsequently, a gentleman continued with the same untrue information. When I intervened to express my disinterest, he insisted that I listen, becoming quite impolite before abruptly ending the call. Utterly unpleasant individuals! I have now blocked their number. Nevertheless, why must we resort to blocking? Shouldn't there be a concerted effort to apprehend and address these individuals?

020 7946 2005 - Annoying and quite upsetting!! They ring not asking, but telling you that you’ve recently been in an accident. Like the person who commented on 15 July, these calls are really insensitive and no amount of cash can undo the pain of losing someone or damage to your health. They also say they’ll remove you from their calling list - but when will that actually happen?? Seriously, these calls need to be blocked.

In April this year, I had been in a car accident and had been waiting for a call to schedule an examination. I asked the woman how they obtained my number, but she interrupted me with laughter.

The caller is claiming to be in London, yet the number they're using appears to be fake. It's quite confusing, isn't it? Moreover, I suspect that this number is using a similar tactic by falsely alleging that we were all involved in a car accident, even though none of us were. Am I correct in thinking this? They never even checked if it was actually me! Right off the bat, they said they'd heard I was in a car crash in the past 3 years. I told them I have no idea where they got my number from and I don’t reckon they’re doing their job right coz I don’t have a driving licence and I’ve never been in any accident. Got a recorded message asking if I’d been in a car crash and to press 1 to speak to someone about making a claim. Thing is, I don’t even drive and the last time I was in an accident was when I was a kid, about seven. That call just dragged up awful memories of a family tragedy where someone close to me died because of a drink-driving hit and run involving our car. I was lucky to get away with just a few bruises but the emotional scars are still there. Didn’t need that call this morning at all. Blocked and deleted the number - would recommend you do the same.

Some woman called me asking me to verify if I was in a crash and that I wasn’t at fault. Such a rubbish sales pitch - they told the exact same story to my wife, who was absolutely distraught and crying at home. I was away on a business trip with the car and nobody else was with me. She thought I’d been in an accident and was worried sick since I couldn’t answer my phone. If I could track down who these people are, I’d take legal action against them for causing that stress.
